This wasn't Cam's worst game honestly, the VT game feels worse to me given those 2 devastating INTs. The Cal INT also was awful.

It was soooo obvious what their gameplan was. Those guys played coverage the whole game. They weren't playing to win. They were playing to not get blown out/embarrassed.

They didn't shut down our passing game, just limited it. The sacks were an issue, and a combo of both the OL and Cams fault. There were numerous times Cam could have run for decent gains but waited and instead had to throw it away, or got sacked, because FSU was completely focused on stopping the pass. If we just took what was there in the 1st half, the score would have been even more lopsided. Despite that we still completely dominated the game. We had almost 450 yds and 36 pts. The game was never in doubt. So no, it wasn't "sunshine and rainbows", but it was a dominating victory, beating the spread, against a rival that did everything they could to stop the strength of our offense but got beaten down by another aspect of our offense.

I thought 41-14....worst case scenario being 34-24 (including a pick 6 or fumble returned for a TD by FSU).

People don't like to see stalled drives because of crappy play calling. Also don't like to see the D give up a 7 minute drive in the second quarter.

Sucks when this is considered "one of those games". Just because Cam didn't throw for 400 and 4 tds doesn't mean this team didn't impose it's will. If anything, it proves we can leverage a side of our offense when the other is off.

Defense plays lights out outside of 3 plays.

I have always believed that the Canes can’t win a championship unless they can run the ball, especially in short yardage and red zone situations. The Canes proved that they can consistently win and dominate the line of scrimmage

Cam may have taken a step backwards in the Heisman race, but the Canes took a step forward in the National Championship race. Cam should be a first round pick, but he has some things to work on if he wants to be a top pick. Cam has to learn to be consistently accurate when things are going according to his expectations, to handle his presnap reads better and to learn to take what the defense gives, especially the short, quick accurate throws

This game, while not AirRaid exciting was a solid, pound and ground win. We need this kind of approach. Miami showing we can win with very different skill sets. Yes, I wanted 96-0 but watching the game again, we controlled everything. It was methodical and deliberate. Field goals ain’t **** buy they count.
