It’s not that we were due for one of these games. FSU has played that style of D all season long. Only team that has really blown them out (other than us) was SMU.

They play a style that tries to frustrate the opposing O by trying to keep everything in front of them, but as a result , they can’t stop the run.

We scored on almost every possession, was 57% on third. 100% on fourth. Ran for 6 ypc. It seems poor bc cam was off and didn't have his normal 400 and 4td. They ran on, through, and over fsu.

It was just a boring bro game that we aint used to with Cam back there. Cam got sacked far too many times tonight tho.

I’m a fan. It’s not my job to worry about fixing the problems of the team.

Our passing game wasn’t clicking tonight (it literally happens in football all the time)

So we turned to the run game and dominated on the ground.

So yes I’m happy that we aren’t a one dimensional squad that can only win if the Qb is going crazy.

Cam and the passing game was definitely not clicking tonight. FSU gave us their best shot. I agree that we definitely showed we can lean on the running game when needed. The OL, Martinez and Fletcher had 240+ yards rushing. The Canes are balanced and can beat teams multiple ways on offense. It was refreshing to see. The defense still worries me.

i think you missing the point ... a win wasn't in doubt ... we wanted to embarrass these dudes and continue cam's heisman campaign in front of every recruit worth while ... we didn't do that, but instead soundly beat them ... two things can be true ... and quite frankly are true ... we threw a reverse pass to cam late in the game for a reason
 
Ugly game but I disagree with the sentiment. 36 points is a lot of points in any type of game. We can play better but this isn't a bad game by the offense by any measure.

It was soooo obvious what their gameplan was. Those guys played coverage the whole game. They weren't playing to win. They were playing to not get blown out/embarrassed.

as a matter of fact, we scored the most offensive points that anyone has all season against FSU. SMU scored 42 but that includes an interception return, so they had 35 points.
 
Agreed.

Let's be real. Cam was pretty bad tonight. Maybe it was the pressure, and his receivers being blanketed... but he was inaccurate all night. But to his credit he never put the ball in danger... which in past games he would have.

Cam had an off day but you are clinging to some type of moral victory for them and “clever” wordplay to try and sell this narrative you want to spread.

They weren’t embarrassed but they were soundly beat…

If Losing to rival 36-14 (after a garage time TD) isn’t embarrassing clearly idk what is
