We just lost a game

I still think we're a wild card team to make a run in the playoff but I will say it's bizarre how unprepared we look at times on Defense. There were multiple times where there was a man completely uncovered on the outside before it's recognized at the last second and a linebacker hastily runs over to cover. Inexcusable.

Bc he can’t. Mario can’t help the offense or the defense do anything scheme wise. He’s a lame duck on game days
 
Defense ain’t been **** outside of week 1. Offense ***** around and doesn’t execute way too often. Finally caught up to us.

Neither did Cristobal - he's recruited talented DBs the last two years - and by all accounts we couldn't land the DBs we wanted in the Portal.

I absolutely despise their fat *** coach and seeing him throw down the U just blows

How many stops versus how many possessions ? A few stops with zero turnovers and allowing the clock to be drained all game pretty much eliminates stops . That literally used the upset for beginners book . Eat clock , get in third / shorts , take care of the ball then keep everything in front of you on D. They used the same game plan as last year but with a qb that had no arms.

Guidry has to go. No matter what. We need a real Xs and Os guy on defense and decent enough tactician who can recruit for that DC. A DC WHO ADJUSTS TO THE SAME 6 MOVES OF DOOM ALL GAME!!!!
GT John Cena'ed TF outta our defense with 6 moves of doom. Think about that. We ain't even try to set the edge. Harris needs to be stuffed in a locker and shipped to Bolivia. How tf you blow the coverage like that knowing the other safety is a true freshman? I won't get on Patterson too much, but my goodness, I know our corners aren't the best, but our safety play....

Yeah, we ain't winning **** and gonna waste Ward's season.

LG does zero on the recruiting trail it seems so he should have all the free time devoted to game plans scheming and working with players to develop them… it’s obvious he clocks in late and leaves early

Mario should be telling them to ******* knock it off with the delayed pointless stunts and loops we run… just whip the man in front of them

What do we work on during the week defensively in all seriousness? Every team has beat us with the same game plan…we knew this was coming. And we couldn’t do a thing about it. Do we just sit around all week and not watch film or address issues?

Coach O did it with generational talent as well. The closest you’ll ever get to disproving this point is Jim Harbaugh. But he’s called plays before and is capable of taking over a side of the ball when his assistants fail.

Mario will never win games for you but he’ll certainly lose them. He’s a sitting duck on game days.

I said when he was hired that Leavitt told me Mario had the worst understanding of defense he’s ever seen in a coach. (To be fair, he also said he was a relentless recruiter.) Said the guy literally doesn’t understand it. You’re right.

by all accounts he wanted an “elite” db, and when he didn’t get it he didn’t want to settle
For merely “good” dbs.
