we could land 6 Elite 4/5-star South Florida DB's in one class for #Storm18 (Title edited)

I know this question was posed in the Amari Carter thread. Could any of these 2018 guys be a true center fielder? Ball-hawking, lay the wood, Sean Taylor types. Any insight would be much appreciated!
Frierson is a natural born FS ballhawk... He plays CB too, but he'll be an absolute beast at FS.

He's a naturally gifted athletic freak, with the perfect body type for the position with long arms & great range...

Same with Gurvan Hall, an Elite prospect with tremendous future All-American upside.

I love Jobe but I would gladly take Hall if we lost him. Wouldnt miss a beat with a combo of him and Frierson. Although if we got all 3 that would be the best coup in the country.

We wont lose at CB with any mix of the following..Blades, Ivey, Campbell, Joseph, Samuel Jr, Troutman, TJohnson, Surtain Jr. Whichever 3-4 want in...sign them up. No preference. They are all borderline elite to elite DBs. And every school in the country will be after them.

Exactly... The 2018 DB class might be the deepest group of prospects we've seen in the state of Florida in over a decade.

Liberty,

What is your opinion of Ronald Hardge, III from Cardinal Gibbons? He did a pretty nice job against Jerry Jeudy the other night.

As of right now, I don't believe we have any chance with Pat Surtain, Jr.

Great find man! That kid gave Jeudy fits.

For anyone interested in watching, look up Ron Hardge III.

2018 is a goldmine for DBs down here. Don't see how we could ***** it up at all.

Ronald Hardge, III has done a great job all year for Gibbons and won the top DB award at the Oregon camp this past summer. He has good size and speed. I'm surprised that he hasn't received more pub. Someone is going to get a very good player in Ronald Hardge, III.

Like Geo said, great find...

I had seen some of him after watching more on Randall Haynie when he came to Paradise.

He's got some great film, and he's done the best I've seen of any DB covering Jeudy.

And I agree with you on Pat Jr... I don't think we have much of chance with him, because Pat Sr is really big on SEC programs, Pat Jr just visited LSU for the Bama game & I know Corey Raymond pretty much has Pat Sr in his back pocket.

To be quite frank though, I think he's one of two most overrated players in South Florida & him not considering Miami doesn't factor in to my opinion on that. I wrote that same opinion a few months back on this same thread (page 2) and have seen him play more & still feel the same.

Surtain has interest in Miami, he has a real good relationship with rumph and visited 2 games already this season here. Lsu just has the lead and it's been that way for awhile. Some of surtains family if I'm not mistaken is from Louisiana as well or live there

Sleeper---Marquis Williams is one of the smaller corners in the group but one of the fastest. Has run an official 100m at the state regional level of 10.72. He can also flip his hips as well as any corner, has a great break on the ball, likes press coverage, is physical, and will only get more so. Like a faster Bandy. Saw him play earlier in the year and once last year and he impressed me. Clemson has made an offer.
is physical

I'm more than aware of all of that, and can tell you with high amount of certainty that he ain't coming...

I know about his relationship with Rumph & Rumph being the reason why Pat Sr got the AH job after him, still doesn't matter.
I just didn't want to reset that discussion for obvious reasons...

Coco Creek has one of the deepest Secondaries, even though Garner just transferred, they still have a lot of depth.

I just posted in the 2019 thread about Tiawan Mullen, Trayvon's younger brother.

Who do you think we land Liberty? I know it's early
Blades, Frierson, DJ Ivey, Hall & one of the two between Samuel Jr or Tyson Campbell... Don't think we'll keep Jobe.

We're also in a real good spot with Cameron Jonas & Nadab Joseph... I also think we'll eventually offer Tre Jackson at Southridge.

We need to offer Randy Russell, Stanley Garner, Miguel Edwards & Trenell Troutman (even though he's committed to Louisville), and it's probably a long shot, but I'd like to see us go after Tyreke Johnson more.

There will be a ton of 2018 DB's in Florida alone to field a class of 6, plus there's out of state kids from Georgia & Louisiana we could end up with too.

Randy Russell is a soul thief. I love what I've seen of him on video.

Fck the Surtains and their fake Louisiana bullshyt. If they love Louisiana so much then get the fck out of South Florida and move your asses up there.

Liberty,

I don't agree with you on your opinion of Pat, Jr. He is tall, fast, is a ball hawk, has great instincts, can play the run and is outstanding with the ball in his hands. He will compete for minutes the second he gets on campus no matter where he goes to college.

It would take a miracle to pull Pat, Jr. away from LSU. It doesn't matter how many games of ours he's attended, LSU is the leader and it isn't even close.

As far as the conjecture that Coach Rumph helped Pat, Sr. get the AH job, I don't know if I believe that. The contenders for the job were Pat and Oronde Gadsden and they are both close with Coach Rumph. I can't believe that Coach Rumph recommended one over the other.

There are numerous "sleepers" in the 2018 class that have transferred from small private schools to bigger public schools and will be on the map in the near future.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The nation’s No. 11 safety in the 2018 class, C.J. Smith (West Palm Beach, Fla./Oxbridge Academy), lists high interest in Clemson, Oklahoma, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Florida, Alabama, UNC and Michigan.

It’s the offer from Clemson he says he covets the most. Smith (6-3, 195) has a dozen verbal offers.
He recorded nine interceptions as a sophomore and has one this fall.

The four-star recruit plans to visit UNC, Michigan, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida, Miami, Alabama and Clemson this offseason.

Smith commented on a host of his early options.

Michigan: "It's cold and it's nice. They have Jim Harbaugh."

Alabama: "I heard it's nice. People love the campus there."

Florida: "Their facilities are amazing. I think they can do a lot of rebuilding."

UNC: "They are recruiting me real hard. I heard it's amazing up there."

Miami: "Mark Richt is a doing a great job. I can't wait for next year and for recruiting."

Smith holds a 3.1 GPA and runs a 4.56-second 40-yard dash.

Smith has been to Florida, Miami (visited us on 9/10), FAU and Florida State.

He said he mostly hears from Michigan, Louisville and Alabama.
"They are coming hard," Smith said
