Just consider this. If there was a four team ACC playoff for the conference championship, we would have zero chance to be included, and wouldn't have been in the playoffs Golden's last 3 seasons.

We are not even CLOSE to competing for a Coastal Title and getting killed in the CG. (and never will be)

He qualified is prediction by saying "IF" we land immediate impact recruits like Collins and Bonds as well as other top recruits we could compete.
Looking back if we sign Collins it's highly probable we beat Duke and VT.
Sure no one saw FSU having the season they did but before the season it was rational to think we could compete with them. Heck we did it this year before Duke went down. I'm sure a guy like Bond would have gotten to Winston where guys like Shayon Green didn't and having Collins come for Duke would have made it a closer game.

Anyways obviously we didn't land those kids that OP was basing his prediction on but if we have had he could have been right.

It was 35-14 with a minute left in the 3rd quarter when Duke went down. And FSU ball. FSU scored 6 points after Duke went down.
