Was 2017 the start of the Dark Ages for FSU?

reg,

My only point was to state that their previous AD was transparent about wanting to hire a non-white, and there were some who claimed that was false or could never be true. Their AD targeted Taggart in part because he's black and was up front about it.
I agree with the "In part" of the bolded portion above. I remember when the AD made the comment. I knew, immediately, that his words would be taken out of context, not by you, but in general. A reporter from the Tallahassee Democratic asked him a specific question. The reporter stated that he'd heard rumors that Taggert and Fuente were strongly under consideration for the job, in which he then asked him was he specifically targeting minority candidates because of the fact that he had been so outspoken about minority coaches not getting a fair shot in college football. The AD replied by saying that of course, he would love to hire a minority coach at FSU, in which he furthered his point by saying that there are a lot of great options and some of them are indeed minorities.

Rok, I think you are a good poster on this board, and genuinely think you are a value add to the site. That is why I was a bit shocked when you appeared to be defending the racist *** comment that was made by ol' boy! I get your stance now, and yes, Willie being a minority played a factor in Jim becoming the HC at FSU, but it was not the determining factor, as what was racially mocked/suggested by @jackbenimble71.

How many coaches have been promoted to head coach and discovered they weren't up to the task?

We're up to 3 so far.

The track record for this varies depending on how robust a school's bag game has the potential to be. Clemson promoted a slapdick WR coach. 10 years and bags of money later they're the next dynasty. It feels like with the right amount of financial support Manny could be our Dabo.

How much money do you think it would take for Taggart to be at Swinney's level?
