Wade Phillips as UM's Defensive Consultant?

Did Paraboycane give up on his crusade to hire Wisconsin's DC? He's now lowered his sights to Wade Phillips, one of the top defensive coaches in the NFL over the last couple decades, and is looking to toss him $50K/year.

I said as a CONSULTANT not a coach, big difference the guy would work for UM for a few weeks to overhaul the play defense's play book and help Donofrio brake down film 1 day a week during the season Texas had Greg brown fly in 1 day a week UM could do the same with phillips. So please don't misquote me to try an spin some agenda.

Texas ranked 68th in Total defense giving up 403 yards per game in 2012.
They hired Greg Robinson to help out in 2013 and ended up with the 69th ranked defense giving up 407 yards per game.

Texas has the money to waste like they just did hiring a "consultant" but we don't.
Drop the subject and move on.

This is, by far, the greatest college football thread in the history of mankind.
I haven't felt this way since watching Secretariat at Belmont - ironically, that was
around the same time Al Golden was helping Bill Arnsparger implement the 53 defense
in Miami.
