2025 Vernell "Trey" Brown III 4* WR from Orlando Evans [commits to UiF]

While UF sucks and is a dumpster fire they are 4-3 and Lagway gives them some juice. Revisit this page in 4 weeks as they have a murders room with UGA, Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss... a lot can change in a month.

I expect UiF to end up with 5 wins, maybe 6 with some lucky bounces. Unfortunately I don't think a 5-7 or 6-6 UiF season would be enough to discourage Brown. Hanks, on the other hand, seems like a more reasonable/receptive recruit right now... would be interesting to see if he sticks to a 5-7 UiF.

Sometimes teams just get lucky with kids like this. Doesnt matter if you go 0-11 they still are not wavering. We have been lucky like this in the past (Duke Johnson comes to mind)..so cant hate on it one bit. It is what it is. As Mario famously says, "You want to be the 2nd choice in recruiting if your not the 1st choice with the transfer portal in play". (paraphrasing)..Kid like this wont sit around and throw his career away at UF if things are not going in the right direction after his 1st year or so..
I dont know how ppl downplay the fact that his father AND Grandfather not only attended uf but played football at uf.

This would be the toughest of all flips

Even besides the obvious here I remember the night of the kids seeing his comments about the game where he was so positive about UF to the point of delusion. At that point it was clear he wants to be there even if it's just loyalty and deep down knows other options are much better

That’s coming directly from coaches so that’s all he can do. I haven’t read any updates I’m just going off knowing the family. They’re very loyal to UF. Osu was the one I always thought could maybe pull it off. Although doubtful.
As we know, Dennis(smith)thinks we're gonna flip everyone. He definitely gives us a lot of attention. But I'd agree it's not likely we can pull him unless Napier still has a job. He's still there I think we're better off than if he's fired.

11.9 difficulty factor on a scale of 1 to 10.

But in Mario Christ, all things are possible...

Good lord...Lake Region is TERRIBLE, I can't recall them ever being good. I think Jones beat Lake Region 77-0...

Now, Evans is good, Edgewater is good, Winter Park is good...and I think Jones has to play Wekiva soon. That should be a more competitive game.

All the best to VB3, Jones is undefeated this season and is likely to whip Ocoee tonight.

It’s one thing being a legacy and decommitting. It’s an entirely other thing committing after to your legacy rival

I went to lake region high school smh I was there the first year it opened. Football has always been trash. The baseball team and softball team were light years ahead.

Eh get Hanks. More dire need for him. As with all players who don't go to Miami Browns trash. Gonna ruin his future because his pops and grand pops played there?? Please name me 5 wide receivers from uf who played in the NFL and were relevant. I can count 2 . Chris collinsworth and Jabar Gaffney
