I don't put much credence in these reported numbers anymore.

I think Linder benched half of what Swasey was claiming he could at this time last season.

Swasey is too busy name dropping and taking pictures with NFL players to actually record the kids' progress.

Swasey and the nutrition department needs a complete overhaul. Complete joke top to bottom. That victory fund needs to be put to use asap

The biggest concern that hasn't been talked about yet isn't so much the actual number but on some of the guys how little it has improved. 10lbs increase with a lot of guys in one year is flat out awful. Then you have some guys in the article who have increased significantly. Goes to show that staff is still needing to weed out some kids. Coley putting on 15lbs in 9 months is exactly the type of kid that we need work ethic wise. Clearly we don't have enough of those guys yet but it is getting better with the more recent additions to the roster.

It's Swaseys job to get these kids right. These kids never been on a nutrition plan or weight training regime before. Swasey is a huge liability.

Jesus. Do some of these kids even lift in high school? Their numbers are terrible.

You want them to play football, be able to read, write, do math and lift and eat right at the same time?

Uhh...yeah.

If you think they are reading writing and doing arithmetic at FSU, Bama, OEU, etc, you got another thing coming.

Ok, so now that you've seen the numbers, are you going to continue to tell me Coach "they are getting more leaner" Swasey does a good job?

I was commenting in the numbers of our younger guys coming out of high school. Alot of our players GET HERE weak. Their high school weight programs are a joke.

We're RECRUITING alot of weak players so it's hard for me to say whether Swasey is doing a poor job or not.

I can tell you this...

Feliciano's bench has increased roughly 70 pounds since he's been at Miami and his clean has gone up 45.

Don't know if that's good or not, I'm just giving you my perspective.

Need to recruit stronger players. (which golden is doing)

Was referring to high school and joking.

Swasey doing a good job will likely continue to be a debate as long as he works for Miami. When players worked hard, were determined and showed out on the field, there was not a lot of *****ing. When we sucked under Randy, Swasey sucked too. Now we suck under Golden and Swasey sucks again - gains or no gains.

Its really not that hard to do.

Edit: meant to quote AngryIbis

Agreed. It is called work ethic.

One point of note from the Carter thread -- many focused on the scheme being too hard (not arguing that) -- there were also lines in there that indicated he struggled, didn't like it, just wanted practice to end --- then when he put in the work, got it -- he has started to improve greatly.
