Major Applewhite as an OC has not proven himself in any capacity. His offense at Bama was not anything to get excited about. Neither were his offenses at Texas. At Houston, they had really good offenses, BUT that was Herman moreso than Major, and that was in the AAC where they play less defense than in the Big12.

Fedora has ties with Gundy which can trump which university is better fit for him currently. Not a major failure if Manny doesn't get him. There are still some good OC's in play and I believe Manny will get the right fit here.

If he doesn’t get Fedora and settles for Applewhite, that would be a massive failure.
