Up to #11 in AP, up to #10 in the Coaches poll

In a group text I just guessed a top six of
1) Oregon
2) Penn State
3) Georgia
4) Texas
5) Ohio State
6) Miami

I'm a little iffy on 4-5, but I'm just assuming they will put as many one loss teams ahead of us as they can.

Certainly possible, I have:

1) Oregon
2) Georgia
3) Penn State
4) Ohio State
5) Texas
6) Miami

Texas has wins over bad Michigan and bad Oklahoma teams and that’s it.

They may be ahead of us when the poll comes out they have not 1 single good win on the their resume and we should be higher than them but it’ll play itself out

I said the same last week ahead of the UGA/TX game.

In the olden days -maybe 1 or 2 years ago even- we would be ranked ahead of the 1 loses. This scenario would have enraged the fanbase and been a story oneam we beat, fini ESPN. Things are different now. No longer matters.

Side note: We won't play a single ranked team until ACCCG. That's so sad. What a topsy-turvy world.

In the event some of the teams we have beaten finish the season ranked, that should count.

My point is that it really doesn't matter what teams are ranked in the beginning of the season, the true litmus test is how they finish down the long run.

I'm not saying VT, CAL, Louisville, Duke, or Cuse will be ranked, but if they are, and / or finish the season strong, that should count.
