He's an undercover FSU fan. He came up here for the NC State game and checked into the hotel. I asked if he was bringing a kid up for a visit from MNW and he said no he had been fired and was just here to watch an FSU game. Stupid ****.

uh....fsu's starting rb devunta freeman lived with Luke throughout his high school career...im sure he was there for support of that kid.

Also I think his wife is an fsu or famu alumni.

BTW, Charles Gaines was at the Miami camp for before his junior and senior season , being coached up by crime dog. He didn't get offered, because they didn't think that he was good enough.

This mandate **** is bull****. How many players did we just not recruit that were good? Most of them CHOSE to go elsewhere. A few like Devonta Freeman were low balled. Most went where the cash was. Our problem has not been recruiting its talent development and roster management. For Shannon it was offensive continuity and failure to create competition at QB. For Golden its scheme flexibilty and failure to coach up DTs, or use them properly. Strong was a better coach than Golden. Golden has gotten out coached alot. GT did it in the first qtr, WF did it with the wide splits on and on. Teams coming up with things, we need to watch film at halftime to stop it. Recruiting will never be a problem at Miami unless we are under sanctions. Golden and his assistants coaching is at the point. Many many teams would die to have the type of athletes we have on the roster, right **** now. But no coaching and we look like Temple. Charlie strong would take 70% of our roster and give us 70% of UL. Trust me.

Exactly. Who are these superstar players that we don't recruit because of an "administrative mandate"? We recruit most of the top players in the area.

I agree with most of this, but didn't Al try to turn Freeman and Gaines. also, as for EJ, Finnie, Terry and the other lb, didn't they get something like 3 chances? I'm not arguing the type of players. I'm thinking maybe Randy had that mandate, just seems like Donna is changing that.

Duke doesn't have nearly the athletes as almost every team they played and was in a big time bowl game when they were picked to finish almost last in ACC. Stanford put out #1 QB and has been in BCS bowl games.

Blaming the UM administration for some mandate is just another way to make excuses for the bad coaches Miami has had lately (yes, I am aware that UM is the one that hired these coaches but that is a separate issue). Does anyone honestly think it would make a difference if D'Onfrio had a group of dubious ruffians out there? No, they'd still be in a terrible scheme and not put in a position to win.

Even if there were some sort of "mandate" Miami can still get more than enough talent to win national championships. Just need a good coach to utilize the talent.
