You need intelligent football players that have the right attitude. You do realize a lot of schools like oh Louisville have admissions that are a complete joke. So easy to get top flight kids when we have a NCAA investigation, guys in our own city telling players they need to play for black head coaches, extremely hard academic requirements, and a non existing fan base....yep we are playing with the same cards as everyone else....WOW

Fine, if you want to run a program where you let kids do whatever they want and become terrible people (I hope you don't coach kids at any level) or you can hold your principals in place and do what you believe is right and try to create good people.

A lot of idiots on this board if you think that recruiting "gritty" kids will be the answer to all of our problems. Last time I checked we've taken plenty of kids from the "inner city". But at the end of the day it doesn't matter where they come from it's how you coach them up.

Blaming the UM administration for some mandate is just another way to make excuses for the bad coaches Miami has had lately (yes, I am aware that UM is the one that hired these coaches but that is a separate issue). Does anyone honestly think it would make a difference if D'Onfrio had a group of dubious ruffians out there? No, they'd still be in a terrible scheme and not put in a position to win.

Even if there were some sort of "mandate" Miami can still get more than enough talent to win national championships. Just need a good coach to utilize the talent.

What has Stanford or Duke won exactly? This is the best team in Duke history and they lost what four games? Stanford was built by a guy most would consider a top 3 coach on any level IN THE WORLD.

It's not about where they are from. It's about their grades and keeping them in class as a PRIORITY. FSU's priority is football.
