UNC fired Mack Brown

and as of today the UNC job has jumped over East Carolina as the best job available

The end of the Mack

That's the joke that has been kept alive around here for a long time. We ask the question to show passive-aggressive indifference to Brown being fired, concerning ourselves with how our team benefits from the firing rather than the humanity of someone losing their job.
Stop. Just stop.

First of all **** him.

Secondly, this ain’t some poor ******* trying to make ends meet that has bills to pay and mouths to feed.

Dude is a multimillionaire that is getting paid out a couple mil to be forced into retirement at 73.

UNC is a good HC & a QB away from being an ACC contender.

The Carolinas have a sh*t ton of talent regionally. If they were to have a few winning seasons they could easily encroach into VA, Tennessee & Georgia territory as well.

They have the financial capability of having a strong NIL war chest.
Crazy how they had back to back good to great even QBs, several very decent WRs, and very good RBs but never did anything worth a ****.

They even had decent defensive players too.

**** em

that's just ridiculous on it's face

if it's so easy to win at UNC- tell us how many national championships they have won?

or how many ACC championships?

It's never easy to win national championships, regardless of which program you're talking about. But UNC is in a very good location, in a state loaded with prep talent, plus pretty close to states in the northeast and southeast also loaded with talent. Additionally, it's a very good school sitting on a nice campus, but all of this doesn't guarantee success if you have the wrong coaches (see uf, usc, etc). The only drawback I see with UNC is that it sits too close to many ACC and SEC schools. Too much saturation of programs, which is I would never want to share my school with other Florida schools that isn't already fsu.

If I promise to always have that look on my face like I smelled sour milk, would they give me a fraction of his pay? I'd be happy to walk away after the first loss, no buyout necessary.

But would you shake Manny’s hand at mid-field? And grab his elbow?

If they decide that football is just as important as basketball they will be able to make a run.

I don’t see that happening.

I think their version of getting serious was bringing Mack back for this second go-around.

My dream was The U even when I attended A$M. Mackovich recruited me hard but when Mack B. took over the communication stopped. So yeah Im numb to him

The problem with UNC is they just don’t care THAT much about football. They like winning, but (as a school and fanbase) they don’t hate mediocrity enough.

If they ever treated it like the basketball program, they’d be in business.

They have traditionally lived off Virginia talent. Lawrence Taylor, Dre Bly, William Fuller, Brian Blados, Buddy Curry, Dwight Hollier, Cecil Gray, Tim Goad, Ron Burton, etc....they are a presence across that state.
Dre Bly was the guy who got them most of that 757 talent
