UNC fired Mack Brown

Watch Barry Odom here...

Probably told them "I won't quit, you'll have to fire me" and they went around the block, asked for some buyout money and proceeded.

I don't think there were any issues behind the scenes. They gave him the option to retire or to get fired and if he gets fired, he gets a check.
Odom would be solid, decent floor but completely uninspiring

UNC is a good HC & a QB away from being an ACC contender.

The Carolinas have a sh*t ton of talent regionally. If they were to have a few winning seasons they could easily encroach into VA, Tennessee & Georgia territory as well.

They have the financial capability of having a strong NIL war chest.

Pretty surprising ending. Why not just retire. There had to be some issues behind the scenes
There were rumblings that Mack thought he was bigger than UNC football. That he didn’t believe they would fire him and he was on his own timeline no matter what. The end of season conversation about Mack “retiring” was about to be had. So when he put out there that he was coming back next year, Cunningham said enough is enough, I’m firing him.

They have traditionally lived off Virginia talent. Lawrence Taylor, Dre Bly, William Fuller, Brian Blados, Buddy Curry, Dwight Hollier, Cecil Gray, Tim Goad, Ron Burton, etc....they are a presence across that state.

It's very easy to win and attract top recruits at UNC. Their problem is coaching. Mack is washed and once Longo left, it was curtains
that's just ridiculous on it's face

if it's so easy to win at UNC- tell us how many national championships they have won?

or how many ACC championships?

If I promise to always have that look on my face like I smelled sour milk, would they give me a fraction of his pay? I'd be happy to walk away after the first loss, no buyout necessary.
