UM vs FSU I: Predictions

I am going 38-35 canes! I think it will be ugly at half with us making a MONSTER comeback! 21-10 FSU at half.....
 
I've been watching college football a long time, longer than I will admit on this board.

I've never seen a freshman QB go this long without having that "deer in the headlights" moment. Winston is due to have a bad game....and I think if this game is close going into the 4th, they will fold. Miami runs for close to 200 yards and gets a TD on specials.

To add to my post: I think this game really comes down to good ol #17! We need Morris to on his A -B type game. Gotta hit open receivers and avoid sacks and TOs. If he ***** the bed.. We have no shot.

Also our ****** kicker needs to tighten up and stop missing the easy ****. If we can't get in the endzone.. We need the kicker to come through and keep us on the board
 
28-24 Canes... Winston meets AQM and McCord, Perryman gets a pick; SM17 has a solid night (60%, 220 yards, 2TD); and conditioning seals the game.

Morris just looks off. You do have to play your SR. QB when you are undefeated so I don't blame the staff for keeping him in. The D is built on O's making mistakes or having to kick FG's and I just don't see FSU having those issues.

This right here is spot on. Its weird reading most fans on this site picking us, its like us going to a rivals board like GT and watching them pick scored over us. I mean I know we are fans but u don't gotta be a homer and pick us because it doesn't change anything. (talking about others)

I think we lose this game and might get thrashed but the ACC rematch is more important to me, theres no way we beat them twice. I'll take this loss and win the rematch in a monumental upset of the series and destroying there date with Alabama and causing a meltdown in the bcd polls hahaha. I think we win that later game, well I'm hoping maybe I'm getting a little homerism.

Before the UNC game. I went on one of their boards and looked at the prediction thread and I was shocked to see all of the UNC fans picking us to win. I was shocked by their cowardice. Then I saw a few of their fans picking them to beat us and I was shocked by their audacity. Then I thought wait a minute, would I ever honestly pick us to lose or to not win a game or not compete in a game....and that answer is no. You think Duke Johnson, is scared of these guys, there isn't a single Cane in that locker room who doesn't expect to leave trailerhassee with a WIN. I was born in 83, All I KNOW is win and never back down. IF we don't believe in our team who will? The media certainly doesn't. If there was no vegas odds and no polls. Would you feel the same way? **** the SEMENHOLES and **** THE MEDIA. I watched one of the greatest teams of all time lose a championship, this team we are facing on Saturday isn't nearly as good.

Not feeling so good about this one. Would love to be wrong.

Luckily I'm very good at being wrong and manage to do it 90 percent of the time.

Despite my misgivings about our inability to put together a game because of our QB shortcomings experience tells me this point of view has a good chance to happen:

assuming we're not playing that ***** brand of offense we've been playing 31 -27. good guys
 
I dont have a prediction on the final score, but i really think our defense is built to stop an offense like FSU. In boxing 'styles make fights' and in this case our style of defense (which is essentially cover 2) will dare them to take whats given. I expect winston to do just that in the eary parts of the game, but if we can commit on offense to eating clock with our running game i guarantee it will cause fsu to get greedy and try to get aggressive.

this year tracy has probably played better than he's gotten credit for. he has the ints but hasnt really been able to flash in many games because team just havent thrown his way. i dont doubt for a second winston will challenge him and im extremely confident that he comes away with a pick off in this game.

I wonder how many of the folks picking noles are the same ones that predicted blowouts against UNC and WF

We've played up to FSU's level the past two years. This rivalry is tough and sloppy. I think this game will be a loooooot closer than most people think. We will fight, and we might even win.
 
This game is driving me crazy, I just can't sleep. I'm so excited that I've been reading all the articles, and now I'm in too deep. I'm starting to become crazy, but it feels alright. Man, thinking about the U getting the win keeps me up all night.

Ever wonder if the folks that predicted that if we got the same performance by same QB it would result in difficulty against UNC and WF are the same that are picking the Noles?
