UM officially announces newly designed uniforms for 2014

Here's what a real miami uniform looks like. Look at that schedule too. 1963. Al Golden would **** his pants if he had to play that schedule today. You kids are worthless and weak.

I looked it up and we apparently went 3-7 that year hahah

Is there any reason we can't just have the uniforms from the 1980s? Uniform colors and sleek designs don't win you games or get you recruits. Bama, OSU, USC, Mich, PSU, FSU, UF, OU, UT.....none of those big time schools resort to gimmicks with their uniforms. But at this point it's all Al Golden really can do.

I got two reasons:

1.) this isn't 1980 (kids care to a certain extent about this new ****)
2.) We are nothing like any of those schools and we never have been (not to mention as ridler pointed out, a lot of these schools have done **** like this)

You are right we aren't like those schools. Those schools are proud of who they are and don't try to run away from their image. Those schools put effort into their programs. Those schools realize that WINNING is what recruits, not fashion. Those schools invest in their program. Ours collects it's ACC check and allows it's proud alum to be embarrassed for 10 straight years.

As much respect as I have for the 'Canes teams of the 80's, pining for that era is a double-edged sword.

There's a negative perception that all of Miami's "glory days" are behind us. Cane's fans "living in the past" --I hear it all the time.

& Ultimately, until we PLAY like those old school teams, those days won't return --Retro unis. or not.

Oregon has changing the game every time they play the last few years. And I still don't see any titles listed in their profile.
