I think this is just a highest bidder situation and I don't know how all in we're gonna go on a DE3/4.

Lol this mf looking for the bag, well USC & Miami summer enrollment deadline is May 15th so cross them off and he just loses a ton of leverage now waiting so long

I still think this is far from over. LSU apparently has all this money to spend, yet they couldn't beat us out for Barrow. I'm skeptical to believe that they are saving all this money for Baron and will outbid everyone by a significant margin.

I posted the whiffed tackle. I watch a lot of Tennessee games with the wife. He adds nothing that we don’t already have on the team. He has bad eyes. We already have safeties with bad eyes. We would be taking him to get his brother and taking away reps from other guys in the process. He’s not going to come here and sit the bench. He would expect to start. I wouldn’t do it.

Oh so typical CIS.

Walker has 184 career tackles/11 TFL/2 sacks/1 INT with 12 passes defended. He has played in over 40 games with Georgia Tech and Tennessee. We wouldnt want to add that to a safety room where are starters in game 1 is Jaden Harris and potentially a true freshman? Or Markeith Williams with virtually no experience.

Oh and he is 6'1 204.

This from earlier in his career:

Appeared in 10 games … Made five starts at nickel back … Ranked fourth on the team with 48 tackles and four pass breakups … Had multiple tackles in all 10 games and made at least five stops in 6-of-10 contests

Wait then i found this:

Accumulated 185 tackles – 112 solo – with 11.0 tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, 12 pass breakups and three forced fumbles in his career, including his time at Georgia Tech … According to PFF, is the highest graded returning safety in the SEC in 2023 at 77.5.

What???????? Highest returning safety in SEC? An we have no spot because of Marketih Williams?
They don't get it. This is a no brainer take for us. Period, especially if we get the big fella.

Looks like Baron and Walker were always a package deal. I'll go out on a limb and say we offered Baron a phenomenal deal which did not include Walker. Consequently he has been shopping around trying to get the best deal for both of them knowing full well that if a package deal better than what Miami offered him doesn't materialize then he can always circle back to Miami. Assuming I'm on the right track here, Baron is a very shrewd individual indeed. The second that Miami decides to take Walker is the second that this all ends.
