Tyler Baron - Part 2

I posted the whiffed tackle. I watch a lot of Tennessee games with the wife. He adds nothing that we don’t already have on the team. He has bad eyes. We already have safeties with bad eyes. We would be taking him to get his brother and taking away reps from other guys in the process. He’s not going to come here and sit the bench. He would expect to start. I wouldn’t do it.

Look I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in between the bad tape and the favorable PFF grades. Again, I want to know why there has seemingly been zero interest in a guy with SEC starting experience.

It's clear why LSU wants to bring him in, given the connection to Baron, but why has no one else shown any interest?

LSU has a warchest of NIL right now having landed zero spring portal targets. Kelly is catching heat from everywhere and now they are throwing huge bags at DT's from Grand Valley State and Louisiana Monroe, of all places.

Bet you're a$$ they're going to overpay for Baron and take Walker to boot.

Scott Patchan supposedly has a 15th year of eligibility left. Him & Cam can play pickleball on their off days.

So you can now take transferring out of the SEC to another conference then transfer back to the SEC without ever playing a game outside of it?

Sounds like a loophole that needs to be closed.

Its not that big of a deal. he could have just transferred SEC to SEC in the December Window he is just leaving Louisville due to NIL issues not like he was pulling a fast one lol.

Mangham makes the secondary better. Walker adds another body.

WOW. What an opinion. We can just shut down the board now, you've said it all.

How could anyone top those brilliant insights?

You taunting people to provide their thoughts on Walker...smart...anyone else's opinions would pale next to your deep thoughts...

Baron would make a really good room potentially great. Still hope we land him.

However, if the worst case scenario (right now assuming our top three guys are healthy) is finding DE4 among Malik Bryant, Cole Mc, and Lightfoot, I'm left with a genuine curiosity about who will break out. Of those three, one will flash enough to play meaningful snaps and then position himself to likely start the next year.

I’ve never seen Baron play. Never heard of his brother and definitely never seen him play.

But I’ve aggregated the positive and negative comments about his brother, adjusted them for PRS (poster reputation score) and feel strongly that we should take them both

Very sound logic JHC. I concur.

It's just funny to watch you work so hard to establish your absolute worthlessness to the world.

Go ahead, I know you'll try to get in the last word. It's expected, I don't really care that you're going to do it.

What's hilarious is I've ignored the guy. So I only see your replies. I could expand his hidden comments if I wanted to. But your replies are so **** on point to his MO I never need to... My appreciation for CIS has improved so much since I started using the ignore button.

Booker Pickett, too. One of these young bucks will be a productive FR and help, a lot. Benefit of a couple of them playing is then we don't need an impact Edge from the portal in 2025. Our HS recruiting should provide us enough succession planning to keep portal pick-ups to high-impact guys at only a few positions like...

2025

1 QB
1 WR1 (we'll have a lot of young talent, but with X, George and Bruce gone, I'd like a stud WR to pair with a stud QB)
1 OL (If Cooper goes, we may need an experienced dude)
2 DT (one big-timer and one older depth piece)
2 DB (Depends who asserts themselves as starter worthy SAF, we may just need a corner, but let's say two versatile guys)

Seven guys to go along with 25 HS guys. This would be the balance we seek over time IMO.
