From your lips to god's ears brother. His potential is astronomic.

I'd hate to be in a situation where I'm rooting for TVD to leave in order to bring in Maalik...but man if he's open to discussion and TVD is being a wan-ker...
I'm not referring to him specifically but Miami can get quality back just because of the aformentioned factors.

Why would she?? Does she live in SoFla??

Unfortunately I see a lot here in OH for OSU.
The reality is when you compare it to professional athletes, none of these guys are worth close to this much in terms of FMV, and I would imagine that while some guys are on billboards or whatever in Ohio (I live in Atlanta and Jordan Davis was on one here), the majority of athletes are not, yet they are still getting NIL deals. It is nonsense and yet another feather in the cap of South Florida media.

If you haven't gotten a chance to see their Spring game, he's the goods. Not perfect by any means yet, but he'll be a monster by 2024 imo. Elite arm talent.

He'd stroll in here as QB1, even if optically he'd have to "win the job". Would be a perfect year to get him tuned in this offense since it's a rebuilding year of sorts anyways. 2024 we could have an extremely potent offense if he's QB behind our o-line.
He also isn't their QB3, he is their QB2 but everyone knows that Arch Manning will be given every opportunity to pass him after this year

Man I would much rather get the Emory show rolling early at this point.

TVD face is dirty amongst a large part of the fan base at this point.

So unless he’s at worse taking this team to the ACC title game, negotiating with him would feel like a complete waste to me.

Let’s just say would be in best interest of canes fans if the sports gambling becomes legal in Fla.
It did, then gaming groups got all ****y. State is only missing out on billions of dollars by doing this.

But if i keep going on this imma be called an ******* so I'll stop.

Lol yes you did it’s just that most of you don’t know what air raid actually is
Stick once.
Mesh once.
Shallow?
Cross?
deep shot “smoke” from Dana’s book.
True 6?
Saw a naked and a few counters from Riley’s version.
Tunnel count as AR? If so they were garbage.

I see Y’all mfs must like being cheated on or something. Hate to use that analogy but that’s exactly what this mf doing. Exploring his options while still using your dumb4ss and playing you like a fool

Emory is a true Freshman. Just because he didn't **** all over himself in the Spring Game doesn't mean he is ready to be a starter. Not to mention, what happens if he gets hurt? If TVD transfers we are going to need to bring in another QB. You could argue we need to bring in another QB as a back up even if he stays.

Yeah, I'm truly fascinated by this stuff. You haven't had many times over the past 100 years that something ENTIRELY NEW comes into the tax laws.

On one hand, the IRS has traditionally given a wide berth to charitable organizations, so as to respect various religions and charitable pursuits.

But on the other hand, we probably need some bright-line guidance on what "does qualify" and what "does not qualify" for charitable deductions. As @wspcane pointed out, you apply for 501c status and have to wait 9 months for a determination, but in the meantime, most organizations start operating as if they WILL be approved.

And then you layer on top of that...the concept that these sports-related Collectives are a brand-new legal/accounting creation...and I really don't know what the answer will be.

To give an example...if I started a "not-for-profit" to raise money for YOU...that's not really what the 501c organizations were intended to do. You can be a great guy, and deserving of the fund-raising...but that doesn't mean that contributions were made with a true donative and charitable intent...

To say it a different way...I realize what we WANT and ENVISION these Collectives to be...to help out these athletes...but the eventual question would be, why don't we all set up "Collectives" to give people charitable contributions if they contribute to, say, our kid's college fund? Or if that's a problem under the existing rules, maybe I set up a Collective to raise money for YOUR kid's college fund, and you set up one to raise money for MY kid's college fund.

I don't know, this is going to go in a very weird direction if the IRS doesn't give some solid guidance, and soon.
I will give the two biggest issues.

1) You touched on, but a charity needs to serve a large charitable class. This is why Gofundme is a thing. Even if someone is in need, they are not a large enough class to get status. I doubt the athletes of the University of XYZ is large enough either.
2) Assuming it is a large enough group, what exactly is your charitable purpose? It is not amateur athletics... you're paying athletes for their NIL. It is not education or provision of scholarship based on the fact that 1) it is not a scholarship, 2) any payments have to be made irrespective of their being athletes at your school, 3) there is no scholarship program open to the general public and 4) there is no criteria for awarding a scholarship.

It is absolute and utter nonsense.
