TVD Staying at UM Mega-Thread (F off Nick and the local Miami media dreck)

I hope the additional money was worth it. TVD just took whatever good will he had with our fan base and flushed it. He has to outperform his prior bests by MILES to even have a chance at restoring his standing. Maybe this all doesn’t matter to him, but imagine his first three and out or pick. Imagine the reception JB will now get when running set package plays and what happens when those are successful.

Again, I realize things have changed for the players, but there will be enough “grumpy old farts” in the stands that it’s doubtful TVD enjoys a home environment this year unless he absolutely tears it up early and often.

Our fans booed him for jake garcia and then crowned him for garbage time and spring game plays who cares what majority of the fanbase thinks lol just play well and win and everyone will not care about this ****

OK, let’s Ffwd to 2022; everyone saw despite how chitty Gattis was calling plays, TVD was missing easy like Sunday morning throws. So Gattis changed up his philosophy & allowed TVD to start toting the rock. TVD threw the ball some 176 times during a 4 game stretch. By comparison, the most passes TVD had during any 4 game stretch under Lashlee was 163 times.

Now I know, not all passes are created equal, right? Except his career high in yards came under Gattis, ironically. Never mind all of that, let’s talk MTSU, u know the home game against a G5 opponent?

Who spotted MTSU an immediate lead? That would be TVD.

Who was boo’d out of the bldg & had to be replaced by a guy who’s stinking up Mizzou’s practice field? That would be TVD.

While TVD was absolutely dazzling those last 6 games to end the season in 2021, the fact is in those other 10, he’s a 247 ypg w 15 TDs / 8 int QB or 2:1 ratio.

So, let me be very clear…with all these shenanigans, whether it was meant to be leaked or not, now it’s out there. There’s no more Diaz excuses, there’s no more Gattis excuses. TVD has an OC that took the 35th rated QB coming out & put up #’s I hope he balls out, but as I said, none of this chit happens if that QB room was stacked; I’m not saying TVD don’t ask for 4 more $$, but our susceptibility to it.

And just remember, TVD wasn’t “hurt” until Week 7, which is y I’m not holding those other two games afterwards against him.

I think Mario and Company made a grave error giving TVD the money. First of all this sets a precedent to all players on the team you can renegotiate a prior NIL deal which is going to haunt them. Second, yes there were many variable involved including his health last year but he had a **** poor year Third, the timing and the optics of this is as bad as it gets. Fourth, NO player is above the team. Last, he better have just an incredibly season because the fan base will be all over him. Personally, I think this move is going to backfire on Mario and TVD. I hope I'm wrong but don't think so. I am no longer rooting for this kid and he has been elevated to my **** list.

Good stuff

The truth about TVD is, like most things, he’s somewhere in the middle of NCST and MTSU (just using those as short references)

No one was pumping up TVD harder around here than I was to end the season, however I got called out pretty consistently for exercising a ton of caution when everyone got on the 1st round pick, Heisman stuff. It was absurd.

There’s no doubt the kid is talented and one of our brightest hopes at QB in a long time, but that’s relative to us.

I’m glad he’s coming back because he’s got talent, but when the news broke that he was possibly transferring I didn’t even bat an eye. I try not to pass judgement on these guys when I don’t know the entire story but I haven’t liked anything I’ve heard or seen from TVD in well over a year.

But he’s still a young kid and this is a crazy world they’re exposed to right now so we should be getting used to it by now.

Them texas boys MOVING.. 🏃‍♂️ 💨 would be dope if Chris could have a couple rabbits to see what time he would run when challenged. I think he could get in the 10.2 range for sure. Chris 200 time is faster than all times posted in same meet by these kids also.


Tried finding who were also Ballers on the field, Caden Durham is a '24 4 star kid. His film is crazy, nothing but long runs for TDs, I think he got tackled once on last play of highlight film, lol. 1,900+ yards and 36 TDs. Look like LSU, okla, bama type battle.
