Not to be sour grapes, but he really didn't do anything great here. Sure he didn't get to coach "his style of D," but that still doesn't explain why our DB's weren't fundamentally sound. Until today, some of the same people who were claiming Simpson wasn't that good, were also saying that T-Rob is amazing and should be kept at all costs.

I didn't see anything special out of him at South Carolina either. The aura around him always seems to be about recruiting not coaching. The fact that he's going to a place that's not exactly in need of a star recruiter probably just means Jimbo and Kirby are making Nick nervous lately. Still, the fact that Manny could convince him to come here but Mario can't keep him is concerning.
