Top Three Coming Soon For Linebacker McCluster Following Miami Visit

McCluster said all the teams are even, he’s planning on visiting again at the end of April with his family, also wants to visit Auburn and FSU again, and him and Alvin Mathis are now a ‘package deal’.

Like some of you said though, the film (to my amateur eye) looks pretty good.

I don't think we need both of these at this time. Maybe you END UP with both...But when you're courting Flowe, T-A-C, Hyppolite, the Texas kids and so many other names AND THE strikers for 4-5 spots (And you have to think we try hard with the portal next year at this particular position right? Losing top 4 with 2 of the remaining injury risks?)...I just don't think you take both at this time, JMO

I think the LB Class ends up like this

K-Wash (or whoever, pure striker option)
Hyppolite
Portal
Flowe (or sub whoever)
??? Then the question is do you have room for one more? Even if you do I'm not sure you take both these 2 right now (would be fine with one)

Plus a safety like Branch or the LA kid Johnson could contribute at striker in addition to Washington (if they don't take Washington's place)

I don't think we need both of these at this time. Maybe you END UP with both...But when you're courting Flowe(and doing well, clear #1 target)....Then have Kinsler, T-A-C, Hyppolite, the Texas kids and so many other names AND THE strikers for 4-5 spots (And you have to think we try hard with the portal next year at this particular position right? He's on there, the bottom part can be any of those options in top spot, but he's in the paragraph part where I list them all. Added the Gerogia kid Martin too. The actual breakdown with slots is just a for instance...Too many hyphens for me man, had to abbreviate!

I actually like Mathis more than I do Mccluster but I would take both. I really havent gone too deep into Hyppolite as much as I have watched these 2 but from the little I have seen I dont think hes that far ahead if at all. The question comes to how many guys they wanna take. I have heard 4.
Theres many guys in play:
Flowe
Sampah
Derek Wingo
White from Texas
Austin Cave from NJ
Hyppolite
Mathis
Mccluster
Flowe and Sampah are at another level although its gonna be hard to pull either. Wingo is very good but seems settled in leaving the state. After that I think the rest dont really separate themselves from one another. Also Devon Betty and Jesus Machado could be late targets.

Flowe chances seem better, and besides Sampah you basically listed all the kids I did. I don't think Wingo is coming, but who knows with a good season...

Again I just don't know if we take both these kids, and Mcluster's testing results cloud the picture a little on him imo. I really think we will hit the portal at LB too...I don't think we'll see/need portal like this winter moving forward for UM, but at this particular position it is hard imagining us not taking a portal guy or a juco. There is just very little experience.

I agree on Mathis. I’m not sold on McCluster either. Obviously Flowe is at another level but I do think TAC and White separate themselves from him. I highly doubt Wingo comes here, feels like we’re not even recruiting him anymore (or Dumervil/Rosemy).
They have told Andy Garcia they are going to evaluate him this spring so I would put him and probably Chandler Martin ahead of Betty/Machado as late targets.
