Again I'm not saying one is better than the other. I would say Duke is better. What I'm saying is you can't just write off the fact that he's not very effective against good run defenses because of blocking.
He's a really good player. But he's not the best player on the team right now because they'd be 4-0 with our without him.
Duke has been treated like royalty around here and he hasn't earned it compared to other guys.
And if he plays against FSU the way he did against Florida then I think we all definitely need to reassess our opinion him.
I agree with your statement that he has been treated like royalty. But, he is a dynamic player that can help the team in multiple areas. Plus he is a team player and not an "I" guy. He has not been the heisman stud thus far that many have annointed him but I will go back to this being a team game. If there are no holes to run through then what do we expect him to do? When he is given the opportunity, he generally takes advantage of it. He is going to be a flat out stud IMO. I think all in all though, we are still working out kinks of the new offense. You can see it across the board. Back to the original topic, I would def rank our defensive players ahead of our offensive players. And to me it's not even close.
1. Porter
2. Perryman
3. Armbrister
4. Gaines
5. O'Donnell
6. Morris
7. Duke
8. Coley
So on and so forth
