Tommy Streeter and Damien Berry cut by Ravens

Good read, but OK is such an insufferable douchebag that he'll never own up to being dead wrong on this one.

Solid points but Lamar Miller is hardly the example you want to hold up here, and BW isn't doing too poorly either,

Had Miller stayed his draft stock would have risen. A punter got drafted before him for goodness sake.

A runner with an injury history would usually do well to come out when there is a bump in his stock, like his RSoph year. Streeter lost himself a bigger bonus and really needed another year of UTough.

disgusted but how some of that went down.... kids got taken advantage of

Sure they were lied to but they didn't listen to golden or do their homework before declaring. Don't feel bad when you don't even go through the advisory committee.

LM didn't have a major injuries and nothing more than your typical back has. Not buying it..
But don't get me wrong, I'm glad he left.

He had a shoulder injury from hs. I think it caused him to rs. But yea a shoulder is nothing major you don't need that.

I remember reading some where they, the Nortwestern 7, would all leave to the NFL together...hence, why they all but Spence left early. well the two most productive ones in college in Spence and Washington are still in the league. Not sure on Forston but we should know in the next day or so...

He probably just leased it..

More the worse for him.
I know we should root for all former Canes, but all the people who say he got bad advice and was taken advantaged of, forget that these aren't 17 year old kids.
Streeter was an adult. I'm sure he would shout, "I'm the Man!" All the time.
I know guys who were the 53rd man on the roster for 3-5 years in the league. Guys whose sole goal was to make the opening game roster, and they didn't drive 100k cars. They drove moderate vehicles, lived in rented apartments, invested in small businesses with family members.
When they no longer were collecting NFL pay checks they had something to fall back on.
Hopefully these guys are smart about their future, but from the looks of it, Streeter figured he'd be collecting the big money for a decade.

Actually, Tommy is the quiet and understated type. I'll add that adults get scammed all the time - just ask anyone who dealt with Nevin Shapiro. He swindled seasoned corporate executives. It happens. All that said, you and every other Cane are correct that Tommy made a poor decision and should not have left early.

Streeter was project of projects. The guy needs coaching like I need a pizza right now. Drew Rosenhaus convinced Streeter that he was gonna go higher than he actually was. Same with Miller, Brandon Washington, Marcus Forston. The only guy who benefited was Vernon. Oh well its still ALL BOUT THE []_[]! **** the rest!

What was staying here another year gonna do for Streeter?

Shoot, he got coached in the NFL for the last year instead.

If he ain't got it, he ain't got it. (and he's ain't got it)

Dude is stiff as a board, can't explode out of breaks, doesn't high-point the ball well, isn't physical and has questionable hands. If he couldn't improve on those things after being in the NFL for a year then what makes anybody think he would've improved them while being at UM?

Other than his forty, his performance at the NFL combine was embarrassing.

All I know about Lane is that he's a one-trick-Pony. (or so I've heard)

No nothing of lane other than what I've seen on tv and highlights. Lane seems why more fluid than streeter.

One of the few times ive disagreed with you Wildcat...If he stays in school gets bigger and goes another year he may get drafted in second at least third round...more guaranteed money and its a whole lot easier to cut a 6th round pick than a 2nd or third.... He cost him self at least a mil or 2

I liked Berry but I never though he was NFL material. I think Streeter was, but he wasn't willing to work. I do feel bad that both got horrendous advice.
