Tommy Streeter and Damien Berry cut by Ravens

I'm pulling for Berry, he was a true warrior. Streeter made a very bad decision by leaving early, and a selfish one. But he was our main go-to in 2011, and I wish him all the best.

Best of luck to both of them. Tommy certainly had no business leaving after finally getting on the field for one year. Really got carried away with himself. I can understand a RB because they such limited life, but even Lamar would have done better to learn how to block first---NFL QBs are a little partial to rb that can save their rears. Brandon Washington should have stayed. Got a little raw deal having to move to tackle cause he was great guard. Should have stayed and insisted on playing guard. Oline takes time to learn but you can play long time. These agents forget to mention that NFL teams hang on to higher picks for longer time for the simple reason that they have bigger investment it them. Low picks are pocket change. 1st round picks can sit on bench for several years before getting cut.

Shocked that a kid that was too soft to go through UTough again, couldn't catch on in the NFL.

Whoever was in Tommy's ear should be shot.

Good read, but OK is such an insufferable douchebag that he'll never own up to being dead wrong on this one.

Solid points but Lamar Miller is hardly the example you want to hold up here, and BW isn't doing too poorly either,

Had Miller stayed his draft stock would have risen. A punter got drafted before him for goodness sake.

So. Getting drafted early doesn't mean anything if you don't do nothin. Chris Meyers went in the 6th rd. he's a pro bowler.

@wilkensjeune pleas understand the likelihood someone like Streeter wants to break in a new QB after a breakout season is SLIM.He has degree

That new QB is Morris. Good call.

WTF I thought D. Berry was gonna get more looks

He was having a good preseason I am shocked by him getting cut
He is actually a quality rb

Streeter well ....I am praying he gets some good advice

Mr. Rosenhouse is not exactly a top of people's favorite person lists as an agent

I wonder if Golden will use these examples to help these kids understand that when he gives them advice as to go/stay, he's looking out for their best interest and guys like Streeter needed to stay. If nothing else, Streeter would have gotten an additional year of coaching, time in the weight room, and a chance to blow up and be drafted higher.....which if he had, he would have gotten more guaranteed money to set aside for his future in case he didn't make it to contract #2.

As for Berry, he's the example of a kid coming in who didn't contribute early on, but stuck to it, worked hard, and has found a way to be in the league when many called him a bust early in his career. That's why when kids transfer after not seeing the field by the 2nd year, it just doesn't make sense to me.

SO Drew gets Barry a senior yr guy into the NFL and its Drews fault he does not make the team...as for streeter he has two years to get better has not....maybe these guys are not good enough for the NFL...yet they made some nice coin for a couple of years....and they both have SB rings..

Was Drew even Damiens agent...not sure..

Streeter was simply born too late. He is the perfect Al Davis special. TOo bad Tommy came out after Al Davis passed away.

neither of these came as a surprise in Baltimore. Streeter, as you all have said, can't catch. He was obviously told he'd go higher because of his freakish measurable. The problem is that he doesn't have the intangibles and he doesn't have hands. Tough call for the kid but I do hope he catches on somewhere and works a little harder at his flaws.

Berry wasn't much of a surprise either. He was obviously behind Rice and Pierce and he was practice squad last year as Bobby Rainey was the 3rd back. Rainey is a better special teams player as he can not only cover on STs, but he can also serve as a returner should Jacoby Jones get hurt or become too important on offense to risk. I think he was given a big opportunity to change their minds or audition for other teams. He'll catch on somewhere but it'll probably be on the practice squad.

Can't blame Lamar bc rbs have short careers coupled w the fact that he was hurt at um. He's gonna start this year so I don't think that's a mistake at all regardless of where he got picked. Gio Bernard got picked in the second round and he was the first back taken. Streeter tho that's a mistake. He could've been a stud had he come back
