Because our head coach is just happy to squeak out wins like an amateur coach. For someone who preaches culture so much, he’s a total joke in that regard. Culture doesn’t have you barely beating teams where you are double-digit favorite week after week and then losing again to unranked 4 loss trash cans that pass the ball 5 times all game.

People give you examples, and you shoot it down. Clemson lost at home as a 10 point favorite last week. Ole Miss lost to Kentucky at home as a 15 point favorite.

Parity is all over college football. More "upsets" are going to happen. I get your 20 year frustration though.

For people saying we wont have a Cam Ward, Mario had Justin Herbert a few years ago. It doesnt mean Miami wont ever have an elite QB again.

Once again beating them consistently . Thats the part that’s hard for some of y’all. Find me a good coach that does this as much as him during his career? How much money and talent acquisition does he need to beat these underdogs consistently. I mean this schedule versus our roster ? Will it ever be this lopsided of an advantage again?

You can’t ask that here. We’re 9-1. Be thrilled that we don’t suck. So what we lost to a team with an armless qb that ran the single wing all game with far less talent. I give up. I shouldn’t ask questions
 
There is no excuse for yesterday‘s loss.

Georgie Tech was an inferior team with an offense unlimited by an injured starting quarterback. DC Guidry was quoted knows Georgia Tech is going to try and get the edge yet there’s no defense for it? From first quarter to last play of the game? Ridiculous.

Defensively Tech seem to play the FSU model, but Miami showed an answer in that game. The best quarterback in college football with top-tier talent around him and solid offensive line could only muster 23 points?

G5-level coordinators.

Everyone acknowledges our generational qb and how we won’t have one again anytime soon. But the same people won’t talk about the fact that if he just took check downs when they are wide open we wouldn’t have lost yesterday. As bad as the defense is that one thing changes the result of the game.

It’s interesting, very interesting.

So just because he elevates the rest of the roster to top 5 levels, doesn't guarantee he'll have a QB to elevate it to NC levels.

And then we have the issue with his gameday decisions like calling a timeout right after the 2 minute timeout, failing to take a knee not once but twice (once at Oregon), etc

This team has flaws, every team in America has flaws. Just because we lose Cam Ward doesnt mean the team will go back to 6-7 wins. Its not how football works as Dmoney said.

Miami is fully invested in football now, and will give Mario what he needs to succeed.

As many know i also follow Clemson closely, wife graduated there. When they were rolling they would get everyones best shot, and they handled it because they had a major talent advantage. Miami is getting everyones best shot, with 1 draft eligible first rounder.

We may have 3 top 100 picks in this years draft. Go look how many Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, UGA, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss have. We still have building to do.

Hope you are right.

That said, he will need to improve the level of coaching around him if he is going to sustain anything. Developing the kids' body types after "increasing the talent level" isn't going to matter if they arent going to continue to get coached up here.

The problems that beat us yesterday, again, are of our own creation. They have not been fixed in what should of been educating victories....now we are left with wondering if they can be corrected with the pain of a loss...that ship might have sailed, I hope not.

can misses ALOT of check downs. he also misses Jacoby George ALL the time because he starts running around. still, hes brought us back when our defense has been destroyed so you take the very good with the bad.

The reality is..there is no team left on the schedule (including SMU) that this fanbase would have been okay losing too and I don’t care what anyone says. This fanbase had already decided in its mind we would be undefeated going into the CFP and anything less would have gotten this same reaction. Mario and this team honestly were a victim of their own success unfortunately because 90% of these jokers said they would be perfectly satisfied with 10-2 or 11-1 at the beginning of the season. Now everyone wants to pretend they were the lone voice in the room that said we should go undefeated when in reality that was probably less than 10% of the fanbase.

Oh no im a big fan of Cam. But there are things he needs to improve on to make his game almost unstoppable.
