This reads demotion to me.

You take away someone’s responsibilities and it would have huge impacts up and down the organization. Like I said if you’re 9-0 and you take away your DCs responsibilities (demotion) you won’t get another coordinator to trust you again.

How can I not blame Mario? College kids are going to get lazy. You don’t get “trap games” in the NFL because the pros know any team can beat another any Sunday. It’s his job to make sure they play with urgency. Of all the things that made Saban great, one of the most important was that Bama was basically a machine. Didn’t matter if the opponent was a 2-6 FCS team. Bama players approached the game the same and took care of business. That’s culture. I don’t see that culture on the team. This is especially disturbing at OL. That’s Cristobal’s specialty. Why aren’t they dominating the LOS and just letting the RBs eat?

I agree.
Lance has made zero adjustments this year. Not even attempted to adjust. We can't even say his adjustments didn't work since he has made zero adjustments. I'm not talking about halftime adjustments I'm talking adjustments to the defense to shore up glaring issues.
Ultimately it's on Mario to demand he makes adjustments and it hasn't happen. You better belive Saban would be all over his Coordinator if his defense played like that regularly. If Mario doesn't get this defensive problem fixed it's going to reflect very poorly on him.

He’s paid handsomely to at minimum field an average defense… this is a joke of a defense that is getting exposed left and right and Guidry is proving he can’t make adjustments.

Everyone knows Mario’s thing is mentality and recruiting.

What annoys me most is he spends 2 months picking a coordinator and he still gets duds
 
We all knew that the DB's were going to be an issue this year. But, wtf happened to this DL? Slow, always out of position, couldn't set an edge to save their lives. I thought this was supposed to be a strength of the team.

I was going to make a post this morning pointing out all of the failures on D over and over every week. It would have been way longer and more detailed than the same obvious crap. The coaching failures on defense this season has been inexcusable. Yes, we have a talent issue, but the coaching has been awful. I flew into Atlanta this morning. My buddy is a pilot so we were sober and he is not a Miami or GT fan, poor guy. That was the best and worst thing about the trip.. The best, I didn't overreact drinking. The worst, I was sober at a opposing stadium which is full of drunks. The usual, no knock on Bobby Dodd. Been in it several times. The O had issues today, but per usual, the D lost this game.

I watched the game while working. When our luck finally ran out I wasn't even mad. We were flirting with this outcome for several weeks.

Need to win the next 2 and ACC Championship

Diaz demoted Baker during the 2020 season and then hired T-Rob, one of the top DB coaches in the country in 2021. These are grown men not soft millennials. They know if a coaches firing is justified or unjustified and don’t get into their feelings. Any defensive coach , **** any fan of football, can understand firing a coach when the opponent essentially told him if they were running or Passing by which QB was in the game, and yet he remained baffled on how to adjust.

Do we have bama level roster? Agree to disagree here. I put most of this game, if not all, on Guidry. We were out schemed and exposed. And it impacted the whole team
