Win out and you have a bye. Cam Ward will take this loss personally because he knows he missed a few today. This could be a blessing in disguise
I think having the bye next week is why I'm optimistic. You get to marinate in the loss, watch the film, and know the rest of the season has no room for error. Ward will look at the team in the eyes and tell them this won't happen againi'm as die hard as any on here
but it sucks to see absolutely NO changes to the defense despite obvious schematic flaws
i know it's going to look dumb in hindsight - but maybe this loss was good for us (considering we still control our destiny)
a bye week on deck, Mario and the players have to sit on this L
MAKE changes on D and win out
doesn't excuse anything - just saying, if we were gonna lose 1 of the 3 games remaining including today, today was the one to lose
nightmare scenarioif Pitt wins out if might change everything. No clue if we have the tie breaker on them
We won’t. If we both win out and SMU does too, I would gather that we lose the tie breaker.if Pitt wins out if might change everything. No clue if we have the tie breaker on them
Pitt deserves to get in over us if they beat Louisville and clemson. It’s just now we don’t control our own destiny. Still have everything in front of us
Only hope would be 11-1 and the **** 11 seed if they committee gives us a sympathy cam ward spot. Nightmare fuelWe won’t. If we both win out and SMU does too, I would gather that we lose the tie breaker.
The 4th tie breaking condition is the winning percentage of opponents. They play SMU, Clemson, UNC and Boston College, while we play Wake, GT, Duke and FSU. Ironically, FSU’s terrible record would likely bump us out of the ACCCG. That would suck!
Would that be like Mario taking the GT loss from last year personally?Win out and you have a bye. Cam Ward will take this loss personally because he knows he missed a few today. This could be a blessing in disguise
That’s wishful thinking. If there was something to figure out on D, if they haven’t done it by now with bye weeks included, they never are. This is just who this team is.i'm as die hard as any on here

I don’t think that they believed that they were good to go on defense. Especially in the secondary. We missed on some targets. But I see a lot of good things with the young players.I’m on blaming Cam Ward for this loss. We probably would be a 500 team without him. I don’t understand how Mario and Guidry went into this season believing we were good to go on defense.
maybe you're rightThat’s wishful thinking. If there was something to figure out on D, if they haven’t done it by now with bye weeks included, they never are. This is just who this team is.
Cam ward isn’t going to take something personally and all of a sudden just take check downs. There was ample evidence he needed to do it over the course of the season and he never did even when down 25. Even on the last play of the game he didn’t do it. That’s who he is.
This is who Mario is. He’s just going to focus on recruiting one position group a year and forget about the rest. That’s why we have gaping holes on the roster and squandered the #1 offense that we’ve been begging for the past decade.
This post just made this horrible loss feel even worseOf course it does. If we’re undefeated going into ACCCG, we’re in the playoffs no matter how bad SMU beats us down. Now we can only make the playoffs if we win out, get help with Pitt, and beat SMU. The idea of this defense stopping Lashlee is comical.
