...to affect the outcome of a college football game.

Number one, show up to the games. Give the home team energy, make it hard for the opponents and create a good atmosphere for the recruits. Easy enough. But some of us chose not to go yesterday to "make a statement" or because "the kids are soft."

Number two, don't call active recruits ******s on the internet. Self-explanatory. But we can't do that.

Number three, give money to the program without turning into a ******* snitch to the NCAA. We can't do that, either.

Yes, the defense sucks. The fans are sucking worse. Step your game up and be part of the solution.

What's even more of a disgrace is the only good Canes website is often polluted with negative threads about current and future canes player. If you don't think these kids are aware of what's being said, you better check there twitter account.

You left out that fans can force change. If the fans didn't force it, then corches wouldn't get fired.

FROM CHAMPS TO CHUMPS. THANKS BUTCH!

That sign flew in 1997. When Butch was putting together the greatest college football roster of all time and a staff littered with future NFL and college head coaches.

I'm glad they didn't force a change then.

Number 2 happens everywhere when you arent winning. Number 3 only happens at UM. ******* Shapiro. Number 1 is the big obstacle for a coach at UM to overcome. The attendance is ******* disgrace. It was 8 degrees last night in Ames Iowa and they out drew UM to watch a one win team take on a three win team.

Miami has the worst fans in college football and it's not close. Miami as a city has the worst fans.

Ya you're really showing the administration by not showing up. Especially if you already bought season tickets...

The best part will be us opening 7-0 next year and all the soft shouldered fans are back on the bandwagon and back to MIAMI IS BETTER THAN EVERYONE. THE U IS BACK!!!

Our defense sucks, but our fans are a disgrace!!!

LULZ. The fans who are upset and raising **** are trying to force necessary changes. Change doesn't happen on its own. Getting sour at UM fans for being fed up with a historically bad defense 3 years in and trying to force a guy to fire his clearly incompetent pal seems misplaced at best. Some of us are unwilling to sit back and pretend things are fine and hope that he fires his best man of his own volition.

Understood but I disagree with #2. If you have a recruit, acting like a ****** (Lane), he deserves to be labeled as one. I can understand if people disagree with that, but that's how I feel.

Wait until after signing day.

If a guy like Sony Michel starts having second thoughts, you don't want him to have a negative impression of Miami because of our fans. He is a guy that can make a difference in wins and losses.

Bridgewater cited Miami's "abusive" fanbase as one of the reasons he chose Louisville. The fans said "that shows he isn't mentally tough." He is now considered one of the most mentally tough players in the country, as well as one of the best.

This isn't about what's right or wrong. It's about doing our small part to help this program acquire talent and win games.

I really wished the stadium upgrades would have been approved. Watching the Baylor vs Ok St game and seeing how those fans are on top of the benches is nuts. Think Ross should go out of pocket for at least moving seats closer to field. Then maybe the people of Miami will see that he is willing to step up and we will also to help get it covered.

Was there the last two games standing in that rain and it sucks, but it is what it is. Hard for you to say rule number 2 and then turn around and ask our Head Coach to do exactly what you don't want us to do. Fans want him to come out and blast his coworkers and players, what makes you think recruits are off limits to those idiots?

Thing is, if Al DOES choose to fire Donofrio, you'll sit back pound your chest and claim you "actually FORCED change". When in reality it could have been his plan all along.

Al will make a change if HE feels it necessary to help move the program forward. Not because a couple dozen internet commandos are going ape ****.

Even if we were putting out a decent defense and entered yesterdays game 8-2 instead of 7-3 the attendance and amount of *****ing would be the same. Like our defense this fan base sucks. There is no point in making excuses for it. **** you were railing on "fake" UM fans just a few weeks ago.

What about the fans or alumni who do spend money, who represent the university in our daily lives as proud professionals, who are sick and tired of seeing the symbol of our school (that we are so proud of) become a joke?

What about the people who have been loyal, fair fans, who spend money on a team they have no affiliation with except for the pride of it being their hometown team?

If the University put half as much care into the program that built it as the people on this site, we wouldn't be so **** disappointing every year, and fans wouldnt be so frustrated.
