If Lane was committed or still had high interest in the U we would all still be singing his praises everyday. Before his recruiting picked up, and everyone thought he was a Cane or Bama lean, most thought he was the best WR is FLA, and I think Pete and many others pegged him as one of the top prospects in the state, atleast top 5. Kid is an elite talent, its no coincidence everyone is downplaying his talent once we all saw the writing on the wall. Luckily hes not a postion of need, so it doesnt hurt us to bad.

Oh and I would like to see the staff's war board before they saw the writing on the wall. If they thought Lane was a Cane lean, I bet he would be our top priority at WR. JMO.

Michael Johnson is a stud. Major SEC offers and a great student. Johnson just happens to be at the wrong school. Coach D said he'll never recruit that DUMP.
 
I've never cared much about Lane or Sony. I preferred Artavis Scott from the get go! To me, since I first saw their film I thought Scott and Cook were much better than Lane and Michel. Of course neither Cook or Scott is coming so u can GFY with that "downplaying because they're not going to UM bs."

And the "sour grapes" crew is starting to rear its ugly head. Anyone who says that Lane is not needed is just being stupid. Give UF there props for winning this recruiting battle and keep it moving. We have a stud of our own coming in Derrick Griffin. But losing playmakers from your own backyard is never a good thing.

And im sure UF can agree that we cooled on Wilson and Lammons even b4 this whole "package" deal thing came about.

Our fan base is always good for a laugh when someone commits elsewhere. Lane has plus size and can run. He can high point the football and he's from our backyard. It's a miss. Is it a bad miss, all things considered? No because of our depth chart and a guy like Langham could prove to be a similar player.

Don't even start the Sony nonsense. You can hate him all you want but the kid is a straight up football player and that position is a need. It sucks but we'll find our guys anyway. ****, we've already got one stud committed so we're halfway there.

We missed. It happens every year. Wish them well against everyone but Miami and move along.
 
Valentine was a silent before he went to school with Johnson. I'm not going to go in detail about situation but if Johnson was at a NW, BTW, Central, etc he'll have UM offer or atleast have been recruited by UM.

Staff aint prefer sh*t....they just cut their losses....and were prepared...lost Khairi Clark...they read the tealeaves on that and had Courtel Jenkins locked in....They went ahead and snatched up a big outside wr in Langham...which softens the blow for a Lane loss....im still mad we aint getting him..he is elite....But a class of Langham, Dixon, Berrios/Rudolph is beastly

See i'm not from Florida so i dont have this fixation over a player just b/c they are a South Florida athlete.... I dont see any difference in his game then guys like Herb Waters and Rashawn Scott on the team currently.

I do prefer Langham over Lane @ 6'5" 200lbs he is going to be more of a mismatch then Lane. Ermon Lane isnt a cant miss recruit imo, and the coaches dont believe he is either. Of course they want him, but they wont care if they close out especially if they end up with Langham, Dixon, Rudolph or Berrios to go along with EE Derrick Griffin. Why would they miss him???

What is his greatest strentgh out jumping guys for jump balls?? Thats not a rare skill set.... Stacy Coley coming in already as the 2nd fastest player on the team has cant miss talent.
Lane can be considered by most as the best receiver in florida this class but thats irrelevant b/c the gap between Stacy Coley and the next best was much further then the gap between Lane and Dixon or Rudolph.

This really does show us that Edouard wants to be a Cane most kids already would have taken the lack of attention as "they don't want me." I wish the best for him no matter where he goes hopefully it is here.

..... maybe the coaching staff is going to continue to evaluate him during the upcoming season???

kids make up offers and can commit to any school they like. Whether the school accepts their commitment is a different story. Schools also can't comment on players until after they've signed. It's unlikely but his entire recruitment has been very bizarre

Making up a committment is one thing but an actual letter from the University is another thing. If he lied about the committment which idk how he did at the UM event he went to the day he verbaled then I have no clue how the staff still kept up any contact with him including the bbq

Ive never seen it but apparently he was at the bbq from what I read everywhere so theres still contact and if he's been lying then idk why the staff would continue to talk to him
