Its great and all that Miami and Alabama are in talks to play in a kickoff classic but I prefer another match up. I know of the games between Miami and Alabama in 89 and 91 for the national title. However the match up I would like to see is Miami vs USC. The Trojans are on the rise as is Miami. This the team I've wanted Miami play. If not for Butch Davis leaving in 2000 We might have had 1 or 2 match ups of Miami under Butch Davis vs USC under Pete Carrol. The schools are almost mirrior images of each other. Both are private schools. Both are located in their own fertile recruiting grounds. Both are located in year round warm weather international cities. Both send alot of players to the NFL past and present. Both have produced elite level players in college and the NFL. USC may have the longer history but it easily can be said the Miami Hurricanes of the 80's and 90's is what elevated college football and made it into a national sport instead of a regional sport.

Whether we like it or not, Alabaga is the barometer of CFB success at this point. If we want to know exactly how far along we've come, we want to know how good this potential 2018 class is, we have to play them. Just ask USC.

Y'all get some dame defensive.... nobody said jeff Thomas is or will be better than devin hester.... however it's not a shot or crazy to think his game film and game breaking ability isn't comparable.... the way he cuts without losing any speed is unreal. Probably was the best route runner in the 2017 class, most explosive and ran a 4.38 40 lazer time

Hester's game-breaking ability was the best this program has ever seen. And we've had a ton of elite return men over the years. There are so many other people to choose from, this argument is retarded. His name doesn't belong next to Hester's yet.

I gotta agree. Based upon just high school film no one needs to be spoke of in the same breath as Devin. Anytime was beyond elite in so many different things mostly the fact that he had elite vision and once he made a decision he never questioned it. He attacked at full speed and made decisions just as quick.

Evan has taken TONS of snaps in practice and scout team last season. I'm not sure wtf you are trying to say here my friend.

That can also hurt him (and Rosier).
They've taken so many more snaps, in previous seasons, and this spring. So at this point if after having a lot more reps, they still haven't really beat out Allison, then it actually makes sense that taking the most snaps could actually be a factor against him.

Personally I want Allison to start. But it just makes sense to me that if the competition is close between Rosier, Shireffs, and Allison, you start Allison. Because he maybe.riskier, but he also brings a higher reward if he is successful. Rosier isn't going to win us the ACC. Neither is Shireffs. But Allison and Nkosi have the talent/potential to win us a championship.

Richt has stated there is separation, and in that case if Allison were head and shoulders above (or even equal to) Evan and Malik, he would be getting at least the same amount of reps with the first team. I want to believe you, but man you're literally the only person saying this so I just can't go with it.

And you can't say number of reps doesn't matter, because that just isn't true. It may be "only spring," but they're still installing plays. It makes no sense to give someone less reps if they're really in the race.

Pretty sure Pete has even said Allison was running third before the injury.

Exactly, if Richt felt it's either Allison or Perry than he would have been giving Allison every rep from the get go. Sherieef and Rosier have stayed consistently above him even before the injury.

He's running 3rd. Typically I trust Dee but this is literally the first time I've read that Allison is really even a factor in the QB battle, let alone "head and shoulders" above the rest.

But I've also seen that he sometimes takes reps off which is why the coaches would possibly feel motivated to give him a kick in the ***.

I follow him on insta and he has literally posted like two or three videos, and it's always only one play ... Pinckney has certainly ran with the 2s at times but he hasn't been 2nd string all spring bro. Even if he were running 2nd all spring, it only indicates something about him and nothing about how much number of reps means in the spring, because Shaq and McCloud have been running with the 1s.. and so have the rest of the starters. Even the o-line, which they started the spring off moving everyone around on, has mostly solidified and has the same guys running with the 1s every practice. So yeah the depth chart and the number of reps with each string clearly matters
