The Work 3-28

For the sake of discussion, Deejay Dallas ran 4.61 at 6'0", 182 pounds at the MVP Camp in Valdosta, Ga. in February 2015 (13 months ago). He was 16 at the time.

Dallas is a baller. And judging from the top schools that seem to be pursuing him the hardest, he appears to be a priority for a bunch of big-time programs.

We're not saying he's a great player bro but let's not act like he's a Calvin Ridley or Sam Bruce

Of course he isn't a Calvin Ridley. No one we're pursuing is on that level. But Dallas is a really talented player who would be a big addition to the class.

JJ IS on that level. And we are recruiting him.

Can we stop pretending kids who took 7 years to graduate HS are elite... he want even allowed to play his whole senior year because he was too old.

The only ones pretending are the ones who won't acknowledge Ridley is elite. The age issue will matter when he enters the NFL Draft and is several years older than other prospects in the same class, but he proved all last season that it didn't matter whatsoever in college.

You're an elite college player when you put up an 89/1045/7 statline as the most impactful true freshman in the country on a National Championship-winning team that faced strong competition all year. It's not even debatable.

You might be right. Jeudy is a beast and it's an interesting discussion, especially if you take the age difference coming out of high school into consideration. Whereas Ridley turned 21 during his true freshman season at Alabama, Jeudy doesn't turn 18 until next April if his 247 bio is accurate.

Jeudy might be our most important recruiting battle. Would be the best player in our class if he ends up committing.

Hes not a "true" freshmen is my point. He was old enough to be a junior last year. For comparison sake amari cooper is only 6 months older than him and he had a better freshman season in college than ridley.

.

I think he's 16, turning 17 in April actually.

De'Andre Wilder will be a 20 year old freshman at Miami, he's still a take I don't care

Wrs have have the second least longevity in the league behind rbs. Hes going be 28 before his 1st contract is over.

Ask that to the guys saying Ridley is too old. It really doesn't matter the age. Ridley is still getting better as is Wilder. Those guys are 3 years & done type of talent anyway.

The part where hes 62nd in ypg, 59th in tds and not in the top150 of ypc when his elite counterpart cooper whos the same age just went to the pro bowl. He had a nice season but hes not elite...at least not yet.

Those stats have nothing to do with his age. The stats are compelling when discussing whether he is elite. Talking about his age in relation to whether or not he's an elite player is buffoonery.

Ridley stretching the field and being a playmaker was huge for Alabama

They have a lot to do with it. At his age he should be flat out dominating if you want to call him elite. Facts are hes a great possesion receiver but nothing about his stats or measurables make him elite. Amari posted 1700yds and 16td at his age ...that is elite.
