I've been a Hurricanes fan since around 87' and I swear to **** if we hire Mario I will actively cheer against this team for the next 3 to 4 years until he's fired.

**Sources close to Cristobal indicate that he already has an idea of who he would include on his staff. James Coley would be retained most likely. Bama DB Coach Mel Tucker would be a frontrunner to become defensive coordinator. Marshall OL coach Alex Mirabal would replace Kehoe.

**Do not count out Cristobal on being part of Rob Chudzinski’s staff if Chud is the guy. Mario’s brother, Luis, was Chud’s roommate at Miami and the families are close.

**I can also confirm the reports that Charlie Strong does have interest in this job. Sources close to his agent Jimmy Sexton say that Strong may not be all that happy in Texas. The thing is, Chud and Schiano are Vince Lombardi and Bill Walsh compared to the Cuban Al Golden.

I'm honestly really scared at the incompetence currently heading up this program. If you tell me you can guarantee a Chud or Schiano right now I might just take it out of fear of a Mario/Coley combination.

It's ******* mind boggling. Coley is easily one of the worst OC's in the entire country and you want to RETAIN HIM?????????

I don't even know what else to say.
 
Coley and Christobal will yield us top 5-10 recruiting classes guaranteed every year but we will never win a MNC and we might luck into an ACC title or two but thats it.

I am interested to see what Coley can do seeing that some people think he was being handcuffed by Golden. Well..heres his chance to show us what he really has. Because im sure LScott told him to go for the juggler and dont hold back. You are auditioning for future jobs. (or the current one depending if these rumors are true) So I am willing to give him this 5 game trial period to see what he can do.

Dont know much about Mel Tucker besides whats been said on here but ALA secondary hasnt been THAT bad. Minkah Fitzpatrick has been stud and Eddie Jackson has been **** good as well. So he is doing something right. Now does that mean I want him running my defense?

Lets just hope this is all rumor for now. I like the fact that Butch is lurking around though and letting it be known that he wants the job and if Mario wants to be on HIS staff he will welcome him with open arms.

As for Jimmy Sexton, he's going to use all these openings as leverage to get his clients pay raises and extensions. He did the same thing when Texas was open.

Yet tucker is a huge improvement from dorito. Tell Coley to run up tempo n not only do run plays out of the fkn pistol.

Mel Tucker was DB coach in the 2002-03 OSU team that beat UM in the BCS game. that is funny

27 - 47 with 3 wins against teams with winning records in a terrible conference and with better athletes than most of the teams he was facing. Did we learn nothing from the Golden experiment? Fly the **** banner.

I ******* quit if Charlie Strong and Butch Davis are begging for the job and they hire Mario ******* Cristobal and retain James Coley.

In fact, if any of these ******* wannabe coaches(current staff, chud or Cristobal) are on next years staff, I'm out.
 
I'd be at a loss for words about these nightmare scenarios seeming to have a legit shot at coming to fruition if it wasn't a surprise.

Gotta have a hill to die on as a fan. If the admin spits in the faces of anyone who still cares about this program by going with a Cristobal/Coley/Tucker combination, they'll leave many with no choice but to turn their back on the program. These options are disgraceful.

The administration is poison.
