Elite recruits want to play for elite programs. Canes are not elite yet. You can’t expect every kid to “put on for their city”. Georgia is the flavor right now losing 31 seniors or whatever, guaranteed starting spot plus bags. If he wasn’t a die hard cane fan it’s a no brainer. Canes will be fine with or without TC.

Isn't this a revolving door? How are we going to be elite if the elite crop of kids are going to other programs? For us to be "elite" we need to convince the elite kids like TC to stay.

Need to get him to OV ar least... if Harry Beudy OV'd anything is possible.

No we didn't, we have 4 4 star defensive backs committed already, add to it the ones we got last year. Campbell would've been nice but as far as a need, we need Sivera and Briggs.

Rattler is my guy, so all respect to him, and who is to say he wont be vindicated, but I cant really see how TC not coming is seen as surprising since it seemed like he was never really interested in UM from the get go (which is his right). I guess I never really considered us truly in the game.

Ill also choose not to blame Rumph. It is what it is.

If we close w that DT haul, man o man. And once more, Bethel is not a back up plan for TC.

Lolbethel is not a back up plan now? Gogeta was right they should of went in for wilson. Bethel is a back up plan because if we get TC we wouldnt need bethel

I said it in the Juedy thread. We won’t get high profile guys from Broward until we win...and not one year I mean constantly winning. It doesn’t matter who you have I guess. This entire county is filled with front runners and until we become a consistent winner don’t expect the Tyson Campbell’s and Patrick Surtain’s to come here. Neg away, I’m sure that hurts some feelings...

agree with this, just like our last great run we wont get the last layer of stud until we win big i.e. playoff big

Nesta isn't elite?

I’m talking about guys in the realm of Jerry Juedy, Trevon Grimes, The Bosa’s, etc...no body really understood how good Nesta was other than us.

I will add that it’s pretty embarrassing that Rumph couldn’t land this kid. It’s his old high school, along with his current position group. This should have been a slam dunk. I’m starting to get the vibe that maybe kids didn’t really like Rumph that much at AH, which is why it’s hard for him to convince them to play for him again.

Well, the other team just played for a national championship, and we got mollywhopped in our conference championship. I would not say its entirely black and white.

IF I am a 5 star corner, and I have a choice between a team which is built and ready to make a return to the championship to a team that has a ton of upside, but is UNPROVEN, I will be giving the powerhouse guys a really, really really hard look.

I am all for landing him but these big guys usually sign with the hot names. Just how it goes.

I really hope this staff isn’t dumb enough to offer Bethel a scholarship. He’s not that great of a football player and that’s but the word with a lot of the kids. Rather not waste the scholly and save it for someone with while. This separates winners from pretenders.

Because there's a fair contingent that thinks Rattler should've steered Campbell to Miami and will blame him for Campbell not signing with Miami.

The problem is people here who over and over and over believe fake insiders with “ties” to recruits.

Some of you act like Georgia is a frontrunner. Last year they were 8-5 and people were screaming for Richt to come back. This year they had 30 seniors and 25 juniors on that team. You win with experience like that. ****, I'm more ****ed off at McIntosh and Norton for leaving early. TC will be at Georgia for 3 years and when (and if) he leaves Georgia, he'll have as many Championship rings as Georgia has had in the last 30 years...zero. He ain't even the best recruit we have this season, Lo is. Rumph ain't to blame here.

Love that this class is basically already secured and on campus. If we finish with 3 DT's, I'll be impressed. Especially DT's that are worth a **** and not any 'projects '.

Sucks about TC but I really gave no indication he was coming here and played his cards close to his chest. As long as I've followed recruiting that's not a good sign when it's comes to kids from sfla.

The encouraging thing about this class, and last years, is were creating a buzz again and closing on our most wanted guys. I know the board will talk endlessly about Jobe and TC, but players like Lo, Pope, J.Williams, and Brevin Jordan (who if we get a real OC will be KW3. I'm praying lines up at Hback and kills teams with presnap motion). In years past we wouldn't even get a follow back from these guys.

Why is anyone surprised...remember when Surtain didn’t even list us in his top 5. What made y’all think we would come in first for Tyson when Rumph, at Best, came in 6th for the other stud CB to play for him. WTH is wrong with that guy’s game. It is pretty interesting watching all of the people accepting consolation prizes on the recruiting trail as if it will be good enough. Get ready to in turn accept consolation prize bowl games when we miss the playoffs because despite a deep class, we miss out on the elite yet again. It is about getting the best every year. And while we cannot reasonably expect to get them all, we sure as **** better be getting some.

In the last 5 cycles we will have landed only 7 players in the states top ten EXCLUDING IMG players. This is not enough to beat the top tier talent rich teams.

Rumph absolutely has to be considered for replacement if we do not get Campbell. Regardless of how good some of you guys think he is at coaching, his name means nothing to recruits from a nfl draft pick production stand point, and guys like that had better be able to close.

We will win but we wont beat the big dogs recruiting l ike this. Its better than AG and RS but i expect dominance this is the U not ole miss
