Swags hes been a failure recruiting almost at epic levels. Coaching at a position where YOU HAVE to be a great recruiter. Good guy, but man if he doesnt land Campbell. He is new orleans safety level from yesterday...like he shouldnt even show up for signing day at the office.

As soon as NSD is done, Richt should fire Rumph. I've never seen a coach whiff on so many players. Our DBs should be among the best in the nation if he lands just half of that list.

Rattler is my guy, so all respect to him, and who is to say he wont be vindicated, but I cant really see how TC not coming is seen as surprising since it seemed like he was never really interested in UM from the get go (which is his right). I guess I never really considered us truly in the game.

Ill also choose not to blame Rumph. It is what it is.

If we close w that DT haul, man o man. And once more, Bethel is not a back up plan for TC.

Pete can correct me, but Bethel couldve committed during the summer whether TC was coming or not. They wanted him regardless. His handlers screwed his situation up.

Some of you act like Georgia is a frontrunner. Last year they were 8-5 and people were screaming for Richt to come back. This year they had 30 seniors and 25 juniors on that team. You win with experience like that. ****, I'm more ****ed off at McIntosh and Norton for leaving early. TC will be at Georgia for 3 years and when (and if) he leaves Georgia, he'll have as many Championship rings as Georgia has had in the last 30 years...zero. He ain't even the best recruit we have this season, Lo is. Rumph ain't to blame here.

Where did they finish this year? Playing for the national championship ship? They consistently win right?

I really hope this staff isn’t dumb enough to offer Bethel a scholarship. He’s not that great of a football player and that’s but the word with a lot of the kids. Rather not waste the scholly and save it for someone with while. This separates winners from pretenders.

uga has been winning 10 games a year for 15 years. UM just had its first 10 win season since '03.

Do people think RUmph was hired just to get tyson campbell? didnt Mark Richt snatch Sony Michel from there?

Georgia is doing exactly what we want to do. Keep all the top in state prospects home and cherry pick a few top guys from elsewhere. Sure they play the game and we don't, so does that mean this **** will never change? Man this is tough every **** year.

It's a chicken and the egg situation. We need to win consistently to get these guys to consider us, but we need these guys to win consistently.

That HAS to change for us to get where we need to be.

How does it change....give me some answers solutions....all were gonna do is beat each others brains in here and point the finger and blame. From an outsider perspective (us as fans) what do you say or so different

The issue is NOT with the 4 DBs that have signed.

The issue is that we were looking at 6-7 DBs - with all of them being of a VERY high quality.

We've underperformed in the DB class in a year that was super deep with DBs and a year that we needed a boatload of DBs.

THAT is the issue.

All this complaining is a slap in the face to kids like Frierson, Blades, etc.

It actually started with Byrd. He obviously hasn't lived up to the hype. But Rumph lost that battle and hasn't stopped collecting L's since.

Our two highest rated corner commits are legacys, they were committed from birth.

Even Dean had to be convinced by Colbert that the U would develop him, he was 50/50 going to ASU and he's a Miami kid.

Rumph can't recruit.

It is pretty interesting watching all of the people accepting consolation prizes on the recruiting trail as if it will be good enough. Get ready to in turn accept consolation prize bowl games when we miss the playoffs because despite a deep class, we miss out on the elite yet again. It is about getting the best every year. And while we cannot reasonably expect to get them all, we sure as **** better be getting some.

In the last 5 cycles we will have landed only 7 players in the states top ten EXCLUDING IMG players. This is not enough to beat the top tier talent rich teams.

Rumph absolutely has to be considered for replacement if we do not get Campbell. Regardless of how good some of you guys think he is at coaching, his name means nothing to recruits from a nfl draft pick production stand point, and guys like that had better be able to close.

Completely agree. We also have a huge misconception of what "elite" looks like on this board. What we have now in defensive recruiting is going to yield similar results to what we had this year. I don't even think we have the best DB class in the state, let alone the country.

by keeping kids to stay home you mean like deejay dallas? deejay will prove to be an elite difference maker in college, already has shown signs of it. I'm sure UGA keeps EVERYONE home though right. Like they just let jarren Williams get away

Part of it is the brand identification with south Florida kids. Prior to Richt our brand was toxic. Banners we're flying weekly, we we're a joke. It's getting better now but still not where it needs to be. Richt absolutely must get us back in the ACCCG this year at least.

Kids wanna leave home to Greener pastures, we haven't been that Greener pasture.

We alreadywon and are winning its an excuse....im already on the boat of this staff can get us to where we r now winning. But beating the clemsons bamas georgias of the world i dont see it happening on a yearly basis no way.

last week we had that same feeling from all the weak soft a** posters on here talking about DT class

now were gonna close with a DT class that is easily an "A" class with two top DT's in FL and a chance at the #1 SDE on top of what we already signed and now they shift their complaining to DB (whom we already have an incredible class)
