The Work 1-15

I don't get how this man Rumph can *** this up. With everything we have in our favor to land this kid, and to not close is a **** shame.

i know it's almost as if the kid got to choose where he wanted to go

you guys act like rumph told him not to come

Just disappointed that a kid who called Rumph a second father, has family that loves the U, and had been coached by Rumph since optimist decided to go to another school. I like Rumph and think he has done a good job coaching our guys up, but losing a 5* kid like this in your backyard with everything we have in our favor sucks.

All this complaining is a slap in the face to kids like Frierson, Blades, etc.

We like those guys but r we going into georgia and stealing there 5 star db? If this keeps happening we wont beat those types of teams. Yea we will win the coastal but thats it

Its going to keep happening. Florida boys don't seem to give a shît about leaving.

U tell me if saban or meyer were at UM these guys would leave? No way they would leave.....we have to play the game

Which is why we shouldn't depend exclusively on these South Florida boys. Recruit other states.

With so much DB talent in So Fla, our staff would get shet for not focusing on the local guys.
Got to keep on working.
The culture is changing.
We all want everything sooner, I know.
It will happen.

Jobe, Surtain, and Campbell are better prospects than Freirson, Ivey, and Blades.

Theyre better prospects on the internet looking at rankings on a website. But on the field i cant tell the differecence, especially with Hall included. Our current db class is 2nd to no one in terms of overall talent and potential.

So all of us that said Campbell was not coming to Miami are vaginas trolls soft shouldered???

It is called experience and being in this game for 25 years. Easy call on Campbell.

Let’s tackle the real issue since these coaches are in a production business.

Recruiting by position

QB Very Good
RB Elite
WR Elite
TE Elite
OL Very Good Elite after 2019
DL Good but Coach is Elite
LB Very Good
DB Below average

So Richt needs to solve this problem and find himself a Dugans type to coach DBs

Accurate list except for LB. Would change to that to fair.

No way I'd call a two year haul of Bandy, Blades, Ivey, Hall, Frierson, Dean, Carter and Smith "Below Average". No freaking way. Disappointing maybe given what it could or should have been, but that's still a very good two year influx of talent at DB.

It's below average bc this is the first yr they really showed up on the trail. Truth be told, we got lucky w Bandy last yr in that he was a true UM fan.

Bandy was still part of the two year influx, and that's still a good group of DBs. Not elite, but it's a talented group. I'm fine saying that missing on the frontline targets is disappointing, and I'd even call it a failure that we can't call it an elite group of recruits, but that's not below average talent.

the worst part is after last year, we talked about how elite the 2018 DB class was going to be how important it would be for Miami to get the absolute best of the best. we did well, but not best of best well. on to 2019

You fire Rumph and bring in someone who can win recruiting battles. Miami should never be signing 3-star scrubs at CB.

malek young was a "3 star scrub"

you're a pretty terrible poster so i shouldn't be surprised you don't know what you're talking about

Would Malek Young start for Alabama? Don't act like dude is some kind of world beater lol. Dude is short and can't even get his head turned around.

Mike Jackson would...but that’s it. Malek might sniff the field as a nickel but he wouldn’t start.

Jackson would not.

Are you kidding? He would absolutely start for Bama and it’s not even close. The guy grades as one of the best corners in the ACC and grades better than anybody on Bama...and the ACC has more WR talent than the SEC.

It actually started with Byrd. He obviously hasn't lived up to the hype. But Rumph lost that battle and hasn't stopped collecting L's since.

Our two highest rated corner commits are legacys, they were committed from birth.

Even Dean had to be convinced by Colbert that the U would develop him, he was 50/50 going to ASU and he's a Miami kid.

Rumph can't recruit.

The proof is there hes our weak link str8 up. Banda is a savage i hope MR eventually has balls to make changes.

Banda has missed too. He missed edwards and davis last cycle. Jobe this year.

This only happens to us i can only sit here n laugh. **** is crazy

The DB coaches have no resume. They can't sit down and point to a big time college DB that had that these recruits know or a high draft pick.

Banda walked into the toughest recruiting grounds around and has closed on some pretty significant targets. (Carter and G. Hall) my expectations for him were low but he's surprised me. Needs to learn from that jobe loss though.

Rumph knew these kids, knew the battles, and talked a big game. So far he's been unable to back it up.

So we slow play Samuel to get TC and get neither.

They didnt want samuel because he is small.

Yet we took bandy last year and he ended up being our best corner smh the whole height thing is retarded with coaches

Bandy is bigger than samuel.

Not by a lot, if a kid can play the whole height thing shouldn’t matter, samuels was the best cover corner in SoFl and he wanted to be a cane but we slow played him, he should have been a cane

If Rumph fails on this one, then they should name him The Cooler. Steve Wynn should hire him too stand next to guys who get on a hot streak at his casinos.

We do that every year. Prediction: Watch what happens at linebacker in 2019.

Jackson had 5-6 good games. He wasnt good to start the season or end it.

This will end up being the best class on paper for Miami since the infamoulsy inflated 2008 class by Shannon. We have elite talent coming in. The only spots on paper that seem a little weak is LB and CB. The 10th coach really needs to be on the defensive side of the ball and it needs to be an elite recruiter.

No doubt UGA has been telling Tyson Campbell that if they had him on the team they would have won a national championship. Thats tough to argue with, because its not exactly wrong. Their one cb was getting his *** worked all game, and gave up that final TD because he didn't reroute the WR at all. 2 of the 3 schools we are competing with for him were just in the National Championship that either team could have won. And the school that is the biggest threat to us is UGA who was an inch away. I mean all uga has to do is show Campbell tape of their dbs getting worked, and how he could be THE difference maker. Thats tough to battle with.

Having said all that **** all of you, and Pete too, he's going to be a Cane.
