2017- 13 Games, Started 10, 49 tkls, 8.5 tfl, 2 sacks
2018- 11 games, 0 starts, 7 tkls

Sounds like they went with a youth movement with the new regime change. Canes could use the depth though. 2017 looked pretty productive. In comparison Tito and Bethel had 6.5 and 6.0 tfl, and 25 and 23 tkls.

Horse****. If he was very good, he would not be transferring.

Or, you are a dummy. In 2017, he was very, very good. He play 3-tech in a 4-3 defense. Then, UCLA hired Chip Kelly who moved to a 3-4 defense. The kid doesn't fit that scheme, so his playing time virtually disappeared.

Remember when we had a bunch of garbage DTs playing in Golden's 3-4 then, they suddenly because very good once we moved to Diaz's 4-3? Hmmm...

Those 2017 stats were pretty solid

He is serviceable as a DT, but we could use the immediate depth. He will be about the same level as Tito O. maybe a little less.

Ranked eighth on the team in tackles with 49 ... Tied for second on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss ... Made at least three tackles in 10 games ... Totaled a season-high eight tackles in the win over Arizona State ... Had five stops each in games vs. Oregon and at Utah.
2016
Did not see game action in his first year in the program.
JUNIOR COLLEGE
Credited with 35 tackles, three sacks and eight tackles for loss in 2015 while playing at American River College ... Named first-team All-Nor-Cal League selection.
HIGH SCHOOL
As a prep senior in 2014, he made 54 tackles, 10 sacks for John F. Kennedy HS in Sacramento.

The kid was productive in 2017 and much more than Tito was same year in 2017. If he is comparable this fall as Tito was this past season, then he is a take all day long and twice on Sundays. Tito was more than serviceable this year. Should have played more than Pat.

He seems like another depth player ao you take it. I honestly wish though that an SEC school with a loaded dline had a stud leaving but hey lets take him and keep adding chips

Pat Bethel shouldn't have started last season and CANNOT start this season. Its telling that in our best defensive performance of the season Tito got the chance to play more than Bethel
