The same finish

To this point, they can step back and see progress. We've improved every year and we were nationally relevant this season.

Of course, we all know there is a ton of work to do before next season. A catastrophic step back is very possible. There is a lot of pressure to perform and it starts immediately.
So we are basically saying that, after mocking the **** out of FSU this year, we could have a similar outcome next year. That’s not stability nor sustainability.

So long for that program trajectory in the State of Florida Mario talked about a couple of months ago.

We all suck but at least they won the ACC.

Do "they" really see progress? Sure seems like any progress was due to one qb and not an overall improvement. And the execrable November - December record shows nothing but futility. Do the people who matter really believe Mario has the actual coaching talent to take a team beyond the "pretty good" level? Because there is no on-field evidence of that anywhere.

TrumpyCane is done on here until Guidry is fired and we get a portal QB

Nothing to discuss until these 2 things happen

Have a happy new year everyone

Same.

Awkward Bye Bye GIF

I hope we don't get bogged down in this is impossible to fix, because that would be impossible to fix.

You have problems in front of you, are you willing to solve them. You do the immediate the best you can, move on to the next and so on.

1. DC. That is the most immediate problem.
2. QB.
3. DBs and LBs
4. Keeping the OC

If you solve all those, to the best of your ability, does that mean we win more games next year? Absolutely not. Cam Ward 2.0 is not walking through those doors. But to D$ point, you don't need to have Cam 2.0 to improve on what we did here, because the D caused us to NEED Cam Ward.

I'm not putting rosey sunshine here, I don't think we get 10 wins next year, but I think we can improve on our position in we get better at where we are horrible at and make improvements we can build on.

2024 had the real opportunity to be special that doesn't come around often, but we blew it. We need to move past that and let it go. Getting rid of Mario would be stupid, as it would be 4 steps back instead of 2. But Mario has to take steps forward.
I believe you overlooked our special team units.
We lose an All American Kicker....
The emphasis on returns and blocking kicks has not been part of this regime.
#21 returning that last kickoff yesterday was head scratching....
The returns for touchdowns this season can't happen...

said this since the year ended and before. the season was cam not Mario internal improvement aside from OL.

Does Jason Taylor survive the house cleaning on Defense?
I’m sorry but he should not.

While we all knew that the secondary was bad, the DL was supposed to be good. I bet even the coaches thought that with our DL they could mask the secondary problems.

It has been a huge disappointment.

Also, for this time, I’d prefer to have the new DC coming with his guys and his ideas.

If we do have a catastrophic step back next season Mario is cooked. Everything he preaches improvement, progess, trajectory and culture go out the window at that point. If that were to happen in year four, he is Manny Diaz with a huge budget and contract.

What's up with Damari? Is he hurt or portaling? We needed ******* corners and when he's finally (allegedly) ready to help, he disappears.
Tell me when a legacy player works out in our favor.
I really thought Damari was going to be a baller back there.
I'm curious to see how this plays out..,

Just about Emory?

Nah. Look at the running back discussions. Look at the DB discussions. LBers.

All these oversold to us.

All offseason and recently: RB portal thread - we have Martinez and we”ll sees, new DB add / we have be nice guys, we don’t want him to be beat by message board feelings …

Less coordinated disinformation, more coaching, hiring and talent acquisition to win conference titles, make the playoffs and not embarrass yourselves and all of us.

For the king of all college football media, the handling of the Cam and X situations leading to backlash is weak and shows Mario is nothing but a fake tough guy - some Miami standard he is setting.
Remember the reports about Jadais?

rice job went elsewhere. didnt know of any other interest. that said, if he gets a shot at an HC job he should take it bc hes a career assistant otherwise.

Unless he could do it again next year. Dawson gotta show he has a QB friendly offense. Big 'if' but if he can put out another good offense then he'll get that HC job

That’s overlooking what the target was for 2024.

The regression on defense was worse than alarming.

I don’t donate millions but it’s definitely more than most, but I let the university know I’m pausing all future dollars until a legitimate DC is hired and clarity at the QB position known
