We should but not having a legit QB in those years would hold any team back. And the ACC was down this season, with FSU collapsing, Va Tech treading water as program, etc.

Lol, sounds like complete BS to me.
The portal class will be important 100%. But next year and the year after we will actually see the impacts of the last two recruiting classes we have brought in, which have been far better than the previous 3 that we were working with and had to hit the portal waay too much to offset.

Cristobal doesn't even know who his QB will be next year yet.

We turned a 5th round pick into a Heisman candidate. I'm not as worried as most about the QB position next year.

If I was on the committee I'd vote for us for ***** and giggles because we'd get our **** pushed in.

But realistically they won't vote for us because they're really, really down on the ACC and (hopefully) aren't that petty.
 
I'd like to add - this is the worst loss of the Mario era, until the next worst loss of the Mario era. See you in 2032 when we're finally free of the contract.

Especially when you want to limit Syracuse touches on offense. Not one person watching in all of the USA thought Miami could stop McCord. Run Martinez, eat clock and score. Seems simple but Dawson always complicates things.

This game was scripted perfectly for Martinez to get 20+ carries and just play bully ball on cruise control once they went up 21-0. Somehow Fletcher ended up with more carries

Forget about the CFP. It's not happening and quite frankly, we don't deserve it. This is not a playoff worthy team. They're showed us all season. Our offense masked a lot of the problems, but they've been there all year.

Best case, Miami is ranked 12th, but 12th isn't making it because the Big 12 is ranked outside of the top 12 and will take up the 5th slot pushing everyone down. I don't even think Miami will be ranked 12th. Likely, 13-14. It won't matter. Miami would have to be ranked 11th. The CFP committee is going to hammer Miami and that sh** show we saw today.

I can't defend the man anymore…What's baffling to me is although some of it was a bit gimmicky, he was pretty good last year. Some big performances with ehhh similar or a little less talent?
 
We are not making the college playoff, nor do we deserve to at this point.

One of the biggest things consistently I've seen all season is a lack of emotion on defense after the first couple games.

Even just the players play stagnant. We don't have emotional leaders, that make big time plays and also really of course in Big Time games.

But a truly Stout defense plays hard *** football all four quarters at all plays.

Look at the old video tapes of Miami defense and it says it all. Balls out, all the time.
