America loves a good comeback story.......don't they?

At the end of the day, the Mark Mays and Lou Holtzs of the world are always going to portray us as dirty thugs no matter how high our graduation rate is or how many old ladies we help across the street.

If its gonna be that way, why not just say f' it......we do it our way.

Bobby Petrino didn't break the law...he didn't break NCAA rules. He did something alot of powerful people do....the only problem is he got caught. After getting caught, he did what everyone does....he denied it.

So Bobby has been sitting in Western Kentucky for 18 months waiting for a call from a major program. He took a 3 mil dollar pay cut because of his transgression. You have to think the guy is humbled and understands that he has one more chance at this.

Why am I writing this? Because Petrino might just be the best offensive mind in college football not named Malzahan. The guy has an unreal record. He flat out wins whereever he goes. Arkansas went from an 11 win program in 2011 to a 3 win program in 2013. There would be no more excuses. Recruiting would not matter as much. The guy wins with whatever he has.

There are two people that could make this happen.

1. Lamar Thomas.....Lamar currently works for Bobby at Western Kentucky. Lamar is well respected around Coral Gables despite his recent TV issue. I have to imagine Lamar will work behind the scenes to have Blake and Donna consider Bobby. Lamar is also tight with Gino, Dan Marino, etc. He could start a ground swell of support for the guy as a the ultimate redemption project.

2. Jimmy Johnson......JJ might be the most influential person in the history of Miami football. He was very outspoken about Arkansas bringing Petrino back.

While there was no chance Arkansas could do it, you have to imagine JJ could convince the administration to give Petrino a second chance.

Petrino would be a homerun hire and dominate the ACC. We are a 10 win team next year with him at the helm and in a BCS game by year 2. No more excuses.....no more BS. Some program is going to be handsomely rewarded for giving this guy a chance. Just maybe he will be loyal to that program and stick around for a while.

Donna.....no more letting the media dictate the way we run our program. Lets do it our way.

So Butch Davis has character?

Greg Schiano has character?

Who is the character guy you want as coach?

Took the words right outta my mouth. Anyone who says "no way" to actually having a shot at hiring one of the most innovative, proven football minds in football.....just because the guy made a mistake?.......is a fckg idiot, they're a troll, mods?!! Get these clowns the fck off of our boards!!!!!!

IMO, Bobby or Butch are the only acceptable hires. Any one else would be settling for a 2nd tier coach and not a commitment to winning.

I will take Patrino in a heart beat....There are only three offensive genius out there in college football (Malzahn, Petrino and Chad Morris) we need to get one of them here.

Petrino would be an absolute slam dunk hire. His offensive scheme combined with south florida skill position talent would be LETHAL.

That's the guy I want....let's pray the administration finally makes a good decision.

So.... He cheated on his wife with the affair, left the falcons during the season to take a job with Arkansas. Thanks but no thanks, he has no loyalty

Being around him, he would be a terrible fit here. The big issue with him is how he treats recruits. The guy is flat out liar and some schools won't let him their doors.

Nick Saban left the Dolphins after a year.

I will give you that he is probably the only college head FB coach ever to cheat on his wife.

The only true slam dunk guarantee hire out there. UM would instantly be a contender again, and we would no longer be fsu's toilet. This is set up absolutely perfectly for us to massively upgrade the HC position. I just hope we're smart enough to take advantage of this gift.

I'm hoping Shalala realizes after this fiasco with the ncaa that we're never going to get a fair shake from the public anyway, so fck em.

Guess what...those tend to be the best coaches.

The next time you hear a non Alabama or non Ohio State fan praise Saban or Meyer's personality....let me know.

The classier the guy (Golden) the worse the coach.

Jimbo is a huge douche. Why do you think 6 assistants left him last year?

Saban and Meyer are about as bad as it gets personality wise.

Spurrier is a massive c**ksucker.
