I haven’t heard anything on OC since last week. Last thing I’ve heard on coordinators was DC Monday night:

I saw his office this summer and saw his recruiting board. He told a few players I was with exactly where they stood and what he saw on film and needed to see. It was impressive and they respected him for it.

From this quote, I deduce these were recruits.

I hope he does this for current players.

We seemed to do a **** poor job of self-scouting from last Spring into the season. Now, that could just have been horrific stubbornness from our coaches/coordinators. Some of the Gattis vs Ponce hatred stuff at least partly indicates that. But, Mario and crew took what appeared to the outside as *way too long* to figure out what some players were good and bad at doing. ****, reading this board would have more quickly gotten them to an improved state.

He's not eye candy - although he's primarily involved in recruiting strategy, scouting, identifying, and self-scout. Typically player personnel stuff and not as much coaching decisions. I'm sure Mario leverages it a bit.

This makes a lot of sense. I was told that about two dozen kids were told in early November (before the FSU game) they weren't cutting it. I was surprised at the timing obviously. Explains the mass exodus.
