I absolutely agree. But I’m a skeptic about these kinds of things, naturally, and when the poster claims to have more information than he’s revealing, it just raises my eyebrows.

He could provide some nugget, some tidbit that would that would check out or verify once this selection is announced

As it stands now, from what he’s posted, it could literally literally be dozens of different possible t candidates, and there would be no way to know at all.

So why post it then? I mean, at least provide a little something more. That’s the way I look at it.
All he has to do is post what he did and say he provided the name(s) to d$ and after that people can drop it until it’s announced. That’s putting it on the line adequately without jeopardizing whatever he’s concerned about.

Yeah no other teams are looking at plays at this point. Everyone is waiting until spring lmaoooo

So so good 😂.

But this is what I mean. This is what’s so dangerous about the internet and morons. Some buffoon who somehow has a “following” says something that’s total diarrhea juice. And in 2 seconds, that turns into “playbooks should’ve gone out today” and “Mario is jeopardizing the season”. And then people piggyback on that. It’s frightening how people who not only don’t have a GED but can’t even spell it can so easily influence and manipulate the thoughts of other people. Scary ****.

TB said he was a respected poster so I’m curious.
If it’s a name change and it was the jn something guy or something along those lines, he’s legit. I remember one dude on here that has legit info but a super low post count, I just forget who it is.

Idk if any of that was true in terms of a name change, however.

Has Bryan Ellis’ name been discussed? Current OC at Georgia Southern. Would be a Guidry-like hire
I threw his name out there late last night. I’ll bump some OC/QB names I mentioned that would fit his alleged clues (if he’s right)

- Kevin Johns (Duke)
- Graham Harrell (WVU)
- Warren Ruggiero (Wake)
- Willie Korn (Liberty, formerly of Coastal Carolina)
- Donnie Kirkpatrick (ECU)
- Barry Lunney Jr. (Illinois, formerly of UTSA)
- Bryan Ellis (Georgia Southern)
- Tim Cramsey (Memphis)
- Andy Kotelnicki (Kansas)
- Charlie Weis Jr. (Ole Miss)
- Kevin Decker (Fordham)
- Bobby Fresques (Sacramento State)

Others, more long shots:
- Trent McKnight (Georgia State)
- Bryant Vincent (New Mexico, formerly of UAB)
- Ben Arbuckle (Washington State, formerly of WKU)
- Mike Yurcich (Penn St)

Not saying I believe him, but why would someone with only 130 posts in a decade just show up and troll?
If you go back and look at his post history, he’s never made comments that indicate he’s a troll. One in Dec was particularly insightful.

That being said, I, as everyone, have no clue who he is and all we can do is take his comment/s with a grain of salt and continue waiting on a decision.

IMO the OC is already hired. As I’ve posted several times in this thread, these things often take a while to come to the surface. Sometimes literally weeks.

For example, with Clemson, Streeter was fired and Riley was hired in 24 hours. You guys really believe that he fired Streeter, then interviewed Riley, presented his contract to the BOT, he was vetted, accepted, and hired that quickly? It’s literally not possible. The reality is there were discussions for weeks. I’d bet every dollar I have that Riley’s agent was contacted well before TCU’s season ended. The way Mario works, I’d be pretty shocked if at this very second on 2/11, he didn’t know who his OC was going to be this season. So coming on here and saying “it’s done”, I believe that dude last night is correct.

All true. I suspect the info will break over weekend or maybe Monday after Super Bowl. Really whenever MC permits it to be leaked.
MD - the only hints you have given are that we would be satisfied or happy (not exactly your words) and that he is a OC/QB and that WR coach is hired.

I agree with posters that since you don’t have any previous info and understanding that you have admitted stumbling across this info., you can’t just come here and post what you posted. Anyone can come and say that and there is no point to your posts otherwise.

So, would you please be so kind as to doing the following:

1) DM a name or some more info (like the conference or league (CFB or NFL) this candidate coaches to D$ or one of the Maude’s and tell everyone here you did so.

Or

2) Put on this thread if the OC is:
A) NFL, P5 or G5
B) Previous OC or will be first time OC
C) on the younger (<50) or older side (>50).
D) Time frame (I.e. Monday- Tuesday, by Friday, etc).

I think that would be a good start.

Otherwise, IMO, you or anyone else in the future that stumbles upon info, with what you shared, is probably best to keep it to yourself.

No he doesn’t. The guy didn’t say enough. He could dm the name(s) to @DMoney for verification after the selection is named. He may or may not know.
Not to throw shade at DMoney but there is a plausible scenario in which he doesn’t know but this poster does. I mean Mario is tight on info and he said he heard this not from Miami’s side. Said he didn’t know on Guidry, he just happens to know because the connection is specific to x candidate I think?

I’m not trying to crown him or anything, I just think it’s weird for multiple grown men to immediately and incessantly attack him for a pretty blue ball and anticlimactic but realistic timeline/scenario. We’ll see if he’s right and when it’s done, he has no reason to hide any info so hopefully he shares what he knows or if he’s a troll, gets blasted away upon and never returns.

Him being a UM alum is one of my favorite random pieces of music trivia, especially being a pretty big Dead fan. He was the one who actually connected them and Branford Marsalis, which led to one of the greatest sit-ins in Dead history (3-29-1990).

Always loved BM's description of the night:

The March 29, 1990 Grateful Dead concert was the first of several to feature Branford Marsalis as a guest musician. In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Marsalis recalled that Dead bassist Phil Lesh had invited him to play with the band for one song. I came up for "Bird Song", and after the set was over, I said, 'Thanks for letting me play, guys.' And they're like, 'No, no, stay! Play the second half of the show. We'll do "Dark Star".' That had no significance to me. I'm like, ' "Dark Star"? Okay. What is it?' 'Oh, you're gonna love it. It's free, it's out.' 'Great, I can play out.' They start playing that lick, and the audience goes ******* bananas. Later, I started getting these phone calls on my private number: 'Man, you were great last night. Thanks for getting them to play "Dark Star". They haven't played it in six months.' I'm like, 'Who are these people?'... There was almost nothing [the Grateful Dead] couldn't play—and make the **** sound authentic. When they played a song by The Band or Bob Dylan, they played it with the same spirit as The Band or Dylan. They didn't feel the need to write their own arrangement of it. They were all listeners. There is a point where musicians who establish themselves stop listening to music and start listening to their own rhetoric. The Dead didn't do that. It was obvious in the way they approached a song.
