Klein was homeschooled growing up and didn't kiss his first girl until his wedding day. Very religious guy. Not sure Miami would appeal to him much.

For future references...

MC usually hires his Coaches between Jan 20th - February 20th.

The two latest times he’s ever hired a Coach was when he hired Andy Avalos on Feb 27th in 2019 & when he hired Bryan McClendon in April of 2020 (there was no Spring camp because of C19).

But in 2018 & 19, most of his coaches were hired between Jan 20th - Feb 20th.

So next year when this sh*t happens all over again, I would recommend in order for yall to save yourselves from the mental torture to not even pay attention to open Coordinator or position coach spots until late Jan-Feb.

It might speak to paying too much attention to things that don't really matter and not the things that do. Working hard so no one knows that you're talking to Josh Gattis while not uncovering the reasons why coaches who worked with Gattis are telling a guy like Josh Pate it won't work as soon as they hear the news. In fact possibly even rushing the hire because Gattis didn't want Michigan to know.

Saban didn't sneak Tommy Rees in under the cover of darkness when he flew him in. Marcus Freeman apparently isn't doing that with Andy Ludwig.
