Mario: “Lo siento hermano, but you should probably look for a new job because I’m going in a different direction..”

Frank: “It’s all good, I’ll always have Boone..”

*22 days later

Mario: “Hey Uhhh... Frank you busy?”
Funny. Plus don’t forget the “pay the buy out.”

But I am sorry if I confused you. David Lake made a case for Coley to be the play calling OC. Not Ponce.

He even gave some old 2014 rankings or however long it was to make his case for Coley.

Yeah I heard that and was like WTF but to be fair to him he made it seem at the end that he was just saying he would prefer Coley over Pussmeier

Nah, nah, nah. Yes, he would prefer him over nut job but even before he said it and broke it down, he said he would likely catch some flack for his suggestion. He legit made Coley as the option behind Candle.

Don't really care where his offenses have ranked at Southern Miss. He took over a dump program and had 3 QBs hurt in 2021 and ran wildcat with Frank Gore at QB for their base offense for half the season. This year they predominantly played a true freshman QB. He's a good offensive coach. His offense at Tulane in 2020 scored 34.7 compared to the 34.8 they scored this year and he did it with true freshman Michael Pratt...

I get that seasons can be situational. But he's averaging 71st in yards per play in his 5 years as an FBS OC.

He only has one season (37th) on the right side of 50.

After the run we've had id just like to see a little more tangible results than that. Instead of doing mediocre to average in a bad situation, id just like to get a guy with concrete success at this point.
