Means he has more options now compared to last year

And his first option put paper in front of him. Nobody else has. Yet.

Stop playing games. He had firm offers from UM two years in a row. If he wants to chase possibilities that are closer to Ohio, with less certainty than the UM offer, that's his choice.

But having "more options this year" doesn't mean he has screwed Mario over less this year than last. And Miami made more of an effort to address certain issues this year compared to last.

"More options". What a joke.

Don't say banana in the tailpipe, theres a picture that was once shown to a Top Gear audience that I reenters my head every time someone says that...

I've barely ever seen Top Gear, so I can't account for that, sorry.

But have you seen Beverly Hills Cop?

Way too often to count.

I may send you a link via DM to what I was alluding to, but that would mean that I would have to see it and me sending it to you would also mean you would stop speaking to me till the earth explodes.

Nah, I'll take your word for it.

No need to get into any kind of Jalen Kitna issues, particularly when it comes to international transmission...

I've already alluded to this, regardless of who we hire, people will not be happy.
Be like me and hedge your expectations to know that he's not hiring Joey Halzle and snapping the ball with 30 seconds on the play clock with our WRs lined up on the sideline but at the same time hopeful that he's not hiring Gattis-bro style either.

Something in the middle and I'll be happy.

You're moving the goal posts and creating strawman arguments left and right. And candidly, they are somewhere between terrible and incoherent.

Last year we hired a Broyles winner and it got us in the toilet. We hired a DB coach from Georgia. Also a disaster. The shine of the big name and credentials wears off quickly once the results come in. based on your patience comment, you would advocate that we should have kept Gattis for another year?

I don't really care what this message board would think, and neither should Mario. I am sure the LSU boards were indifferent at best when Joe Brady was hired. But I will say, the names on here that people are most excited about, for the record, are the guys you are saying that they would not be in favor of (Littrell being one of them).

It is fine to reasonably take your time to identify the right guy, but this is two off-seasons in a row where something in the process is not right. It simply does not take this long to hire people. You identify, you do due diligence, you interview, and you negotiate an offer, and if you are smart, you have an on-going working list to do the first two steps before it gets to this point.

It is ok to be critical of Mario and this process and realize that it may wind up ok in the end.
If i was looking for you to grade me or my posts i'd ask. I couldn't give a **** if you think they are terrible. If they are incoherent to you its probably cause you are low IQ, and thats ok. Everyone can't be smart out here.

The rest of what you said is nonsense thats not worth the time. Enjoy the rest of your day explaining to the world how processes should work. Gotta be enthralling to all around you.

You mean you don't like Range Rovers? Or wearing your favorite lingerie and showing you physical love for said Range Rover?

If it's not Brian Ferentz, I'll be optimistic.

Yep. Saw it with my own eyes.

You might have missed some of this, but the Stats Nerds have taken over. They dismiss nearly every coaching candidate with some selectively curated statistic that shows every candidate short of Urban Meyer would be a disastrous hiring.
I use Urban all the time as an example to show how fans have contorted a reality where everyone is a corch, unless you are the elite of the elite. Even then I’ve seen people on this very site call urban a corch. People need to realize that there a multitude of hires here that would drastically improve the team. No hire will be perfect but there is an ocean in between a hire such as a Nuss/Gattis and a Garrett Riley. As ECL stated, our job is to find as good of a coach that lands as closest to the latter on the spectrum as possible.
