Clemson four-star running back commitment Cordarrian Richardson tweeted on Friday night that he's opened up his recruitment.

Richardson's tweet reads that Clemson remains in contention and is a "priority."

Richardson (5-11, 220) committed to the Tigers back in March and took his official visit to Clemson for the Pittsburgh game.

He has not taken officials elsewhere.

Richardson told Clemson247 following his visit:

"It was amazing. To be honest, I just love everything about Clemson. From the coaches to the fans, just everything. The fans, they really stood out to me."

Richardson was Clemson's lone running back commitment in this cycle. The Tigers signed one running back in 2016, Tavien Feaster. The Tigers' top target at the position in 2018 is the No. 1 running back in the land, five-star Zamir White.

Richardson is ranked as the No. 6 running back in the Class of 2017 and No. 75 overall prospect by 247Sports.

If this is true and it is Richardson, then the rumors about Robert Burns possibly being dropped are probably true as well.

I followed canes report on twitter thinking it was a good Dane source, he has no sources...pretty much repeats the info that's already circulating out there.

Or maybe with Yearly gone and Edwards thinking transfer the staff wants a 3rd back. Especially not knowing what they are gonna get from Burns.
 
Burns is guaranteed a Scholarship here next year because he signed a financial aid agreement.
Plus there probably a greater than 90% chance Anthony MacFarland is going to commit here soon.

So I completely doubt we are taking 3 RBs this year, regardless if Yearby declares and Edward transfers (I hope he does).
