Our best OL is NOT from South Carolina, that would imply Zion Nelson, the same Zion who has given up more sacks than any other OT in college football. GTFOH with that please lol. The entire OL is garbage, but if you have to pick who's the best amongst that garbage it's between Scaife or Gaynor which is Dade/Broward.

Our best DLinemen are Gregory Rousseau, Jon Ford, Trevon Hill, Jon Garvin & Nesta Silvera.

Our best LB is currently Pinckney, but will be Sam Brooks next year (that doesn't count for right now obviously).

The best DB's are Al Blades, Gurvan Hall & Trajan Bandy. Bubba Bolden hasn't even been playing enough to be given that title as of now.

I get it, its always popular to hate South Fla & scream to the high heavens about how the talent is overrated & it's because of South Fla players as the sole reason why we suck, but unfortunately that simply doesn't line up with reality.

This is real simple... If the players in South Fla sucked so bad, then why do Bama, UGA, LSU, Oh St, Clemson, Oklahoma, TAMU, Michigan, Oregon & just about every major program in D1 Football recruit them??? Why do NFL franchises draft so many of those same overrated players from that region??? They're overrated divas who suck & can't play, but every great team on every level of Football for whatever reason keeps going after them 🤔... Make it make sense for me?

Perry isn’t from SoFla. The entire online is trash I’ll give you that, but I really don’t see the difference between Scaife and Nelson.
DBs, LBs, and DE should be mostly sofla guys bc we have a plethora down here.

Some of our greatest teams never had large quantities of sofla kids. Just go back and look at some of the teams. We had kids from all over with a small amount sprinkled in from SoFla.

2001: 3 guys from Sofla started on offense. 4 on D.

Like I said before there are few elite guys every year down here, but we don’t have a shot at them. I’ve never said there wasn’t elite talent here. What I am saying is ... outside of the elite kids most are drastically overrated. There is a big difference between guys like Stevenson/ Surtain and Ivey/ Frierson. Guys like Ivery and Frierson can be found anywhere. They are nothing special and vastly overrated on here

We landed some of the elite guys back in the day. Andre Johnson was big time. Sean Taylor obviously, but this was back when the internet was nothing.

I wont even touch on your comment about the current team LMAO at saying saying no difference between Scaife and Nelson goodness gracious, however what you posted here is some bs and very skewed. There were more than just 7 sfl kids that contributed heavily to the 2001 team. No team is just the starters. Even in 2001 we rotated plenty of players especially on the DL, wr, rb, and secondary. how about look at the two deep on that squad and see how many kids out of those 44 players were sfl compared to anywhere is.

so 30% of the starters on 2001 canes were from south Florida and you really feel like you have a point?
 
Battles for dade Broward and palm beach will only truly show when we finally start landing and coaching elite offensive and defensive linemen because in all reality what is the point of landing the jeudy and surtains of the world if u dont have time to get jeudy the ball and surtain has to cover for 5 minutes. We need to stop investing so much stock in skill players and just go all out on lineman. You can take 3 stars from soflo

I figured it would be hard to get a foothold in Houston, but what about the rest of Texas? We used to grab a couple of guys from there every cycle.

Had nothing to do with any post. We used to recruit Texas and got some great Canes from there. Obviously Florida is our main focus as it has always been.

i know big dawg. We got some good guys from that way. But looking that list alone...means we need to up our resources IN STATE.

P.S. we got a Tx kid coming in this class froma good program...that might give us some footing moving forward

Very interesting that’s Louisville made the list, that would be the one to look at if it was a flash in the pan or they are really developing players now
