I believe D$ primary focus was on next weekend's recruits with a sprinkling of others mixed in. Not sure you can infer anything from silence from recruits in other weekends. That being said, Gaby said we were in a dogfight w/Clemson for Mills and he didn't have him in his 2nd mock class. Not sure what happened there.

2 OF THOSE ARENT STARTERS AND COOPER IS A GUARD IM SPEAKING ON TACKLES.

Bell neither Mccoy arent or shouldnt be talking about about a draft unless we are going to war.

Bell and Mccoy will be stamped starters in 25. allowing the incoming tackles to redshirt and develop.

Solomon Thomas was a guy i never had much hope for, a kid that willingly commits to fsu so early aint gonna be a kid that leans to us. Also like ive stated before fsu ol coach is a good recruiter as well.

Oh I never considered him a lock by any means. Agree with all of that.

Just saying…It was a complete 180 that D hasn't commented on yet…Last comments were how much UM thought they were going to land him about 3 weeks ago.

All we are been feed and hearing are good body types, multi-sport, etc.

I know those guys shouldn’t be talking about draft but you also worry about guys leaving via the portal. We took nothing but developmental guys last class. We need to land 1 or 2 guys that are closer to being ready to balance out the classes IMO.

yup thats Matthews to me.

Guys who are gonna start arent really gonn go to the portal though.

Mccoy and Bell are gonna have to get reps this year..Mccoy iw an to start..Bellw e could bring slower as he is a juco kid

Jaden Wilkerson will not be a cheap NIL deal, he is on his 3rd high school in 4 years (Lake Highland Prep, Lake Nona, and now Edgewater). It's not necessarily a character thing he is a
highly competitive young man, who's family knows the young man's worth and more importantly how the recruiting game can be leveraged. Kids just don't hop around in south florida, they jump from school to school in Metro Orlando also trying to get more exposure in a tight high school recruiting environment do to proliferation of the NCAA Transfer Portal.

There are quite a few high quality 2025/2026 OL/DL in the metro Orlando ( Orange/Seminole/Osceola county) area.

This simply isn't true. We balanced last class with Carpenter and Bell from the portal. The idea that we need to be taking in day one starters from high school on the OL or DL is very bad one.
 
Lyle being Day 1 ready would be gigantic for this offense.

I don’t think CJ Jr is any more than a gadget player here, getting 5-ish touches a game. Fletcher isn’t playing this year no matter how much you wanna believe the coaches. (And you shouldn’t believe them for ****). CWH is very much a project. Allen is JAG.

Lyle being a real deal NFL back and that being evident from Day 1 would be MASSIVE. Martinez is gonna need some help. I don’t wanna see him carry it 250+ times.

Let’s put it this way: If 2024 Lyle is what 2023 Fletcher was as true freshmen, and that’s complementing a true RB1 upperclassman in Martinez, wheels all the way the **** up for this offense in every single aspect.

Yup I'm a big Matthews fan too… but again it's looking like SEC there. Hopefully we can flip when his initial commitment goes that way.

Early reports on Bell are excellent and I loved that take too. I'm starting to wonder if McCoy is simply #6-7 OL material all the way, but hopefully he gets the most of his shot when he finally gets it.

McCoys shot is this year flat out! he either takes that left guard spot or it just isn’t gonna happen for him as a starter. It’s right there for him for the taking because Samson still needs more time. Let’s see if McCoy can take it. I believe he will.
