- Don’t sleep on Miami with RB Chauncey Bowens (Benjamin).

On Bowens, the kid runs hot and cold regardless of who is recruiting him.

If he does open it back up, I’d look for him to have at least two more commitments before the process is over.

You have the attention he’s getting now from UF and Miami, but when he explodes his Sr year, he’ll be hearing from Clemson and teams in that tier.

His recruitment will be a marathon and not for the faint of heart.

That's fine, I get it. It was more of a rhetorical question. That said, we signed 2 5 stars. The OL has 5 spots. Surely we can sign at least one big timer rather than "rely on evals"?

The evals so far have been really good.

McCoy is no slouch (he’s the template for Plazz) and Cooper is already starting. Any kid who’s coming in will be coming into an extremely competitive room.

Some kids don’t want to compete - and in MY OPINION - those type of players shouldn’t be prioritized

If they're afraid of competition in practice, are they really going to give their all on Saturday?

In the 786!
they "we" started a football program about 5-8 years ago and built a nice stadium. i shocked no one here has inquired whether the Canes can utilize that stadium for home games. by the way, Manny Diaz used it twice IIRC for summer scrimmages.

picture of stadium below. ample room for tailgaters who don't attend games like The Rock, close to campus so people can walk while toting their wares, good and continuous sidewalks to and from campus, three points of ingress/egress. what's not to like?

Why is it that when the big time schools sign elite players, they do it year after year at the same position. But when we do it, it spooks kids the next year.

Came here to post just that, & that makes zero sense. Other programs r bringing in elite talent at multiple positions, yet we sign two 5 star guys on OL, & it’s spooking kids?

To add further context:

UGA:
2020- signs the #2, #3, #13 OTs, signs #1 C in the nation
2021- signs the #3, #9 OTs, & the #6 IOL in the nation
2022- signs the #2 IOL in the nation
2023- signs the #5, #11 OT, & the #10 IOL in the nation

Yet, somehow we sign two guys & we’re scaring away all other high end OLmen???

UGA has won two titles in a row. What's our pitch?

A huge part of our pitch to Francis and Samson was early playing time. That is a much harder pitch when those guys are set to start through 2025.

Awesome news. Thanks for the write-up. Looking forward to what the DL and LB classes look like this year.

It really blows that we got scared off by Tulane! Meanwhile you got Saban doing the same exact ****. He did it to us and Notre Dame.

Kind of ****ed to hear we backed off over some threats. Would love to know if there was any evidence to back that threat up.
NCAA wouldn't go after Bama if someone ratted them out.

NCAA would do a 15 month investigation and give us the hammer. Not worth it

Yes but you DO need a rotation. Quality two deep. Long games and long season.

Thanks for sharing. That is wild. I never would have thought that Columbus and St. Brendan's could both have football teams inside that same property.
Question, is St. Brendan's any good at Football?

What about if they lord forbid get hurt or don’t pan out we need to stack good players on top of each other. I know Mario knows lineman his Oregon offensive line last year wasn’t highly recruited per se but they were top 5 in the country still.
